if i buy a kyro2 now how long do you think it will last me before i need another video card. also i heard that a kyro 3 might be coming out before xmas do you think this is true...if it is should i wait ? thanks

You can use the Kyro as long as you want, but the card is already becoming outdated. Since the GF.3\'s and Radeon 8500\'s are out.

Both ATi and nVidia will release low end cards, the Ti200 and the Radeon 7500. Also keep in mind that ATi has licensed it\'s Radeon technoligy so other companies like Asus and Creative might release cards based on the R200 chip.

I haven\'t heard much about the Kyro.3, but from what I\'ve heard they might be taking a more aggressive approach, than they had with the Kyro.2

The Kyro.2 was never designed to be a high end card, they just wanted it to be a low - mid range card. Trough it\'s Tile based rendering it managed to perform on par with the big boys.

From what I heard, the Kyro.3 will have more horsepower under it\'s hood, on par with nVidia and ATi, and it\'ll use it\'s tile based rendering.
