Post by: Toxical on October 30, 2001, 07:07:29 AM
Question(s):

1) Ok, who is your pick from each Division?
2) who will win the Conferences
3) who wins it all?

1 )  Division winners: Magic, Bucks, Spurs, Lakers :D

2)  Conference winners:   East = Raptors  West = Lakers

3)  Lakers in 5 games

Done.

WTF?!  Isn\'t that baseball?! ;)

But anyway, my picks are Raptors, Lakers, Spurs and Philly.
Bucks and Philly to meet in East with Lakers and Kings to meet in West.  Lakers to win 3 in a row in 2002!  Mitch gets his first ring! :D

I will go out on a lim and say that the nba will find some way for michael jordan to end up in the nba finals. Jordan in finals=huge ratings for the nba and nbc. Rapters in finals=nobody cares. Canada is not a huge market. They won\'t get a high share.

I think it will be orlando or jordan. They have to have a place where the market is high so they can draw ratings.

Well, the Jazz have got off to a rocky start.  They lost their first game to the Bucks in overtime by 7 points.  Then they lost to the Lakers by 5 points in their second game.  I still think they are just learning to utilize all the new players they have.  After what I\'ve seen from the players though, the Jazz will be in the finals this season.  They are more determined than ever before, and the new guys on their team are actually good. :eek:  It\'s too bad we still have that lurp(sp?) Ostertag though.  Boy does he suck! :)  He was nothing compared to Shaq.

The Mavericks (with the german "Wunderkind") have a good chance, but I think the Lakers will make it.

Don\'t climb the tree too high because your limb is going to break.

And by the way, Jordan plays on the Wizards.  He\'s part of a team.  And a really bad one at that.  They may make the playoffs, but I doubt any further.

And with your analysis of the NBA, why don\'t we just get rid of all teams that aren\'t in NY and LA?  Or we could just have 20 teams, 10 in LA and 10 in NY.  That\'s where the huge markets are..  Time to call David Stearn.
