It\'s last year\'s article but it still a good read, if you\'re into cars.
I gotta tell ya, Subaru making a little rally car for the street is probably the smartest thing since the invention of the wheel. If rally cars can dish it out in the WRC(World Rally Championships for you NASCAR people), it\'ll certainly do quite well in the real world.
Actually.....that last sentence was redundant. WRC tracks ARE public roads (ie real wold)! Only a few Super Stages are on closed tracks.

I really hate these comparisons. How in the hell does an Subaru STI compare to an BMW M5. Both cars are in completly different classes...
Why not compare a Ford Focus vs a Porsche 911 Turbo ?? Why not, because they are two completly different cars.
Im just sicks of reading these articles and these posts one vs\'s the other.
I am on AudiWorld forums all day and i-club (subaru forums) and I see this stuff all the time..

It happens.
There was a post about a Subaru P1 that went up against an M5 in some out of the way British road. It was raining and the two went racing against one another. M5 had the lead until it got to a long sweeping turn, where the P1 was able to over take it. Both cars were nearly sideways.
If you\'re sitting at a light in your Audi S4 and a Subaru WRX came up next to you, are you gonna roll down you window and say "Sorry, I only race cars in luxury class!"
PUH-leeeeez.
Now you know why they get compared? Both cars are saloon, btw. But who cares! A race is a race dammit!

True a race is a race.. But in my Audi someone says to me why did you not get a Subaru WRX and pay a hell of a lot less it gets me pissed off.
Audi and Subaru are very different. Sit inside an Audi and sit inside a Subaru and you will know.
If I was just racing and doing Auto-X racing, hell yeah, Subaru all the way. The cars freakin rock. I love Subies. But with my needs and wants Audi was hands down the way to got. Considering I wanted performance, AWD and luxury there was no question.
See most of my time is spent driving to work. 5 days a week. So I wanted something comfortable to drive but have that kick I want when I want it. So Audi baby!!!!

You\'ve probably seen this. You\'ll probably hate it too. It compared it to the Porsche 911, BMW M3 and Peugeot 306!!!

When i was in the market for a car, I wanted the Audi A4 Quatro. But the salesman pissed me off beyond belief. He looked at my old beat up Nissan Sentra and just started talking down at me.
"Umm....Audis are very expensive. Even the entry level luxury A4."
Boy was I insulted. I probably make more money than that bastard. I immediately pictured all Audi customers as snobs, in my anger. I showed him the bank check for a car loan, $15,000 and a brick of $100 bills I had in my possession.
"You think I can\'t afford this car now? Bye!"
And then i checked out Subaru. The comparison was valid. Though the Impreza doesn\'t have the leather interior quality of the Audi, the car felt more fun to drive and the interior was more than adequate for me. It\'s not a go-kart for crying out loud! Also, there was less body roll and acceleration was better than the A4(I had to test drive my friend\'s A4 coz I felt like killing dealer).
We have our preferences. I was gonna go Audi....but that salesman really ticked me off. I\'m glad I got a Subaru. When I get married, my fiance and I will try to get that Audi I wanted. But this will be for her.

I read that right when it came out. I thought it was the funny as hell..
I thought it was great that they did that. Just because they engineered something and they are kicking cars asses that cost twice or three times as much and they were not allowed to compete.. I thought that letter was just salt in the wounds..
Don\'t get me wrong I love cars, I just don\'t like stoopid comparison articles.

Now a WRX Sti... Thats nice.. But I would rather have an EVO VII myself..

Demolition Derby ina FWD car? One good hit on the drive wheel should put that out of contention!
A 70\'s gas guzzler with rear wheel drive and 8 cylinder torque monster is what you need. Plowing through cars in a Prelude with relatively low torque and soda can shell is like suicide. :D
