I\'ve brought myself a dandy little capture card/tv tuner/fm radio etc...
This thing runs very well on my system.
Celeron 533
128 meg SDram
Creative Geforce DDR 32meg
I\'ll be getting another 256meg sdram soon,
and i\'ll be updating my MB to support a AMD TB 1.5ghz cpu.
The card comes with a groovy remote. and all the little extras.
Brooktree BT878 chipset
Live TV with 125 channels
Full TV frequency range for CATV/VHF/UHF
Supports NTSC, PAL or SECAM video Formats
Capture still and motion video images.
Video Capture rate up too 30fps. (more with faster cpus)
Supports S-Video or Composite Video Camera.
Supports Planner YUY data format.
Supports VBI data capture for closed captioning data decoding.
Also supports Teletext.
Preview 4 - 16 channels at once.
Use it with a VHS cam for Video Conferencing.
I was trying to get a better card.. This one was slightly cheaper and didn\'t have the CVBS port.. But i\'m not really worried..
Here\'s a example of what it can do..
Maxe\'s KATA from SoulCalibur on DC (http://www.homestead.com/_ksi0701961586789953/backups/files/Maxe_1_chuck.avi)
you will need the DIVX CODEC installed to view this
It can capture audio/video.. But i haven\'t brought the extra connections for it yet.. Won\'t be able too till sometime tomorrow or next week. I just need some cables.
