here are a few quotes from the interview
"we could have done Gran Turismo 3 with twice as many cars and turn the effects on all of the time, but why would you want to do that? You want to use the power to fundamentally change the coolness of games."
"Japanese developers have started playing with the Xbox, the same as Tecmo did. We sent dev kits to Tecmo, and they had GameCube devkits and PS2 dev kits because they did DOA2 on the PS2. We got this mail saying \'Hey, we ported the engine over to the three platforms. On GameCube it gets about 65 frames or something, and on Xbox it gets about 130. So, we\'re happy with our Xbox. This is cool.\'
We got a mail about three weeks later. \'It\'s now 300 frames, and we\'d like to be exclusive, because we can now triple the resolution of our characters and we can have levels that go on and on and on in a way that we could never do on another platform.\'"
Looks good to me

that pretty much explains why all the games look so much better than GT3..

If Tecmo really said this, then I feel sorry for them. Too bad DoA3 isn\'t anywhere near as good as it was set to be.
One question: is this supposed to be good news for Xbox? I doubt that...

I\'ve seen lots of good out come on X-Box games, sounds good to me.

Yeah, just like the DOA team said they maxed out the PS2 with DOA2:HC. The Xbox is powerful, but until we actually see those things in motion, it is just speculation to hype up the Xbox. And I wouldn\'t be surprised if the Xbox, the PS2, and the NGC could do that before this generation of consoles is over. This is just the beginning, and all consoles are going to improve dramatically (some more than others though).

Hmm..
Seamus?
Oh the guy who designed the Xbox?
we could have done Gran Turismo 3 with twice as many cars and turn the effects on all of the time
Then why dont they do it???
On GameCube it gets about 65 frames or something
Or something? Riiight..
Oh and why the hell would they waste time and money porting things when they have no intention of releasing them on the system?
Seems stupid to me..

Maybe they used this a test to see, if Xbox was everything it is cracked up to be, then they saw what it could do, and then started Dead or Alive 3!
Also you say about GT3, and "then why dont they"
How do you know they haven\'t got a game in development?

M$ talk, talk talk.. But no action..
Seems like peace talk in the Middle East to me..

please Ethan, I might be asking for much, but please use quotes when replying. It makes it quite confusing at times. Thanks.

Proved a lot....

If Tecmo really has a racing game with 3x more cars, all effects and GT3 graphics - then I am sure looking forward to that one. ;) Sad actually that the other developers don\'t seem to have that much talent on the Xbox dev kits...

Okaaay. So they know exactly all the polygons Polyphony threw into the game, and know exactly all the work that was put into it. More loads of BS spewing from their mouth.
That DOA2 comment is irrelevant. You can\'t just port DOA2 to the PS2 and expect it to run @ 300fps. It\'s based off the Naomi board, nowhere near the power of PS2. The creator of DOA is a fool. In fact, take away the women of DOA and no one would give a sh!t. Pathetic. -- The only reason why people looked @ DOA to begin with, jiggling boobs. Had to hide the cheesefest somewhere eh?

This is coming from Seamus Blackley, of course he\'s gonna brag and slam other consoles in order to promote his X-Box...
I take everything that man says with a ton of salt.

Well the xbox launch games where rushed. They where just ported from phase 2 kits to final kits and they look on par or slightly better than ps2 best graphics. Doa3 is still the most impressive looking fighting game seen on any console.
But I don\'t think he should be boasting about xbox graphics until we see SOME games. Because talk is cheap.
