The graphics are truly stunning and looks photo-realistic. Are they using MPEG-2 compression for texture or what?

Well.. Your a stuntman, and must do some stunts to complete missions..
Thats about it.. I think
-
mmm... :)
looks very good indeed.. though i would like to know if those top ones are from new buid, or if they´r consept images with game objects. "the water is different from older images. "check images 7 and 47."
Jösëphä.
i doubt of the use of mpeg-2 for anything, but animated textures. "it would be perfect for water or some fire textures"
it´s meant for animation and would be worse than most normal image compressing algorithms for textures. "especially if u need texture that is last frame before keyframe."
but im quite sure they have theyr own world & texture streaming stuff on theyr engine.

This game is still a long ways off right?
You are basically a stuntman who like does stunts.. Once you finish the easier ones, you get to do harder stunts with better cars and stuff.... Or something? I read it in a PSM mag once.

At player.at they say, that those pics are INGAME and that they´ve seen it !!!

Yeah they look ace but i\'ve heard you see a bit of footage then do your stunt then sees what happens afterwards. Like a film.
So chances are you get a stunt failed message if you drive too far away from the cameras.
Anotherwords they look ace but I can imagine the playing field of the game to be very very small.

hmmm.. there appears to be a direct-feed trailer at Ign.

Looking very good, and possibly it could be very good and original game.
I just hope there would be some way to do own stunt cordinations like in PC-classic "Stunts Island". :bounce:

I think they may be using the new procedural rendering technique that all the European devs are using.

That is most impressive. The fogging effects and the draw distance are particularly incredible along with all the reflections on the ice. The only gripe I have is that these look more like renders then anything else. I guess we\'ll see soon enough though.

Damn ! Seeing that pic makes me wanna go and model some
of my own in Maya.... but ehh, I\'m a bit lazy at the moment and
it\'s tough work..
Knotter8:laughing: But I can start anytime... My Maya 3D computer is right here in my room !

there was a piece on stuntman in september\'s psm2, it\'s a mission based game set over 6 different movies based in the following locations
london, 1970\'s british gangster movie
louisiana, dukes of hazard style movie
bangkok
swiss alps
monaco
egypt
i think you earn goodies as you complete the stunts in each movie which you can use in the stunt arena

Yeah, dont be fooled by those renders
Knotter8 , I got a Question, well 2 actually :)
Im just wondering if Maya runs under win XP
And how is the hell to you make trees and grass in 3d programs, are there ways without plugins, I myself use lightwave 6.5b and still dont have a clue how to do it?

Maya is what Square uses to make Final Fantasy FMV sequences and what LucasFilm uses to do a lot of the special effects in Star Wars. It\'s safe to say, you can do pretty much anything in that program with some talent and some patience.
