I would like to know what you guys think of these 3 systems. Now, I may be a big Xbox fan, but I am not an Xbox fanboy. I am getting a Cube in January, after I can save up more money, and I currently own a PS2.
I, personally, believe that the Xbox will come out second. I feel that the PS2 sales are pretty high right now, and it\'ll take the Xbox, and Cube, a while to catch up. I believe that by the time Xbox and Cube catch up, Sony will be getting ready to release PS3 or whatever their next system is.
I don\'t think this is really a battle for 1st place, because PS2 has already won, unless Microsoft or Nintendo can pull out some heavy shipping of their systems, and get games that people want. I actually think this is a battle between Xbox and the Cube, for second place. I actually think that the Xbox will have 2nd, and Cube in 3rd. The Xbox has more games coming out for it that will help it succeed over the Cube. Including, but not limited to, Halo, Dead or Alive 3, Project Gotham Racing, NFL Fever 2002, Jet Set Radio Future, and tons of others.
Now, I\'ve noticed a lot of people complaining that the Xbox\'s graphics don\'t come anywhere near the PS2\'s. But that\'s where they\'re wrong. The current wave of games for the Xbox, are actually a lot better, in most people\'s eyes, better than the PS2\'s launch games. I think that people should wait until the 2002 games are out, and that\'ll show the Xbox\'s true power! Some people have said that Unreal Championship, for the Xbox, in it\'s very early development, already looks better than DOA3 and Halo. So that\'s something to look forward too.
But I want to know, what do you think of the 3 systems.

Xbox has better graphics most of us rationale\'s will agree, but we all believe the PS2 is far from maxed
and I agree that Xbox will come in 2nd. I\'ve got 1/2 dozen gamestores near me and they all have said that Xbox pre-orders greatly out number GC pre-orders

ya... Funny thing is.... Xbox and GameCube have games that don\'t intrest me... So I really don\'t need any of them... But Xbox does appear to have a better future... With all the 2nd and 3rd party support it\'s getting...
But PS2\'s future is the brightest!:D

PS2 - what can you say, its got game :D
XBox - Who knows, maybe in a year it might have some killa shiat.
Cube - It\'s Nintendo, what else do you need ;)
I guess all of them have a future; My take on it is like this:
PS2 - Top spot, selling systems/software
XBox - Second Sport behind PS2.
Cube - Niche/hardcore gamer type sales. It will survive.
of course all this is just my OPINION, and is of no concern.

Every Best Buy in my district (11 stores) with the exception of 2 is getting more X-Box\'s than Gamecubes.
We are getting 34 more. and Lincoln, NE is getting 48 more, etc.
The demand is higher.

It\'s your opinion, but I really doubt the Xbox is in greater demand overall. If you work in a Best Buy and you say that there is more demand you are getting more of the Xbox, I\'ll take your word for it. But overall, in the US, the GC has to be in more demand. MS is the newcomer. It can\'t compete with Nintendo\'s fanbase (let alone Sony\'s, which is even larger than Nintendo\'s). I don\'t want to predict who will win come in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd because there\'s just not enough info. I could easily see the PS2, GC, or the Xbox winning (sales-wise). MS may be in more demand in the future, but for this holiday season it\'s going to be between the PS2 and the GC.
BTW, does anybody know how many PS2s Sony has sold (in the US and Japan)???

I think XBOX is more in demand than GC. I am getting both so it is no big deal to me. :)

Just because the GameCube doesn\'t have 300+ unknown developers, does it make it inferior? The XBox, it still costs 100 dollars more than the cube, The heavy Japanese hitter (Super Smash Brothers Melee) is comming out, where Japan is going to explode, I see a huge rise in sales over there. XBox doesn\'t have any ledgends though. Games like Zelda, Mario, GT, etc. That have prooved themselves. I see the XBox bombing at launch, just me though.

wow! That\'s a lot for only being on the market a year. Do you really think that the xbox or GC won\'t reach 15 million or were you just saying that? I think at least one of them will. Unless the PS2 has an almost complete monopoly, I don\'t see that happening.

I don\'t like having two systems....
I\'m sticking with my PS2 and i\'ll just play my friends\' Gamecubes and X-boxes. It\'s not a money thing, its a time thing, 2 sytems would be a hastle for me consider I have a life outside gaming.
*Note: And if you are planning or have more than one system I\'m not saying you don\'t have a life, I\'m saying you have more free time than I do.

I\'ll say it
people who own all 3 systems have to do some soul searching cause there is no way a human should have that kinda spare time to sit on their ass and play games
too many other great things to do besides just games. I play when I can and I\'ll probably get an Xbox eventually but will miss out on great games on both systems simply becaus eI won;t have time

I party, hang out with friends, read books, work 25 hurs a week, go see movies, etc, yet, I have 21 systems and multiple arcade machines.
I just manage my free time better than most people.
IMO, there is nothing finer in the world of hobbies than sitting down with your favorite multilayer game with 3 buds and play like crazy, or playing street fighter tournaments til sunrise.

i have EVERY console except the neo-geo, and have a very active life
its about time manangement
i havent watched regular broadcast TV in 3 years
i either watch movies or play games
sitcoms sicken me. they are designed for people with low attenion spans

See I would have 6 systems but the thing is it\'s a swap deal.
I get a Nintendo, I swap it for a Genesis, which I swap for a SNES, which I swapped for a Sega CD, which I swapped for a Sega Saturn, which I swapped for a Playstation 1, which I then swapped for a Nintendo 64, which I then swapped for a PS2.
I just get tired of a system and move on, I like having only one system because I\'m able to get the most out of it as I possibly can.

yup, TV sucks...bad.
Craig Kilborn at 1 in the morning, as is Conan most of the time, besides those and Simpsons, I don\'t watch TV.
It probably helps that I stay up til 2 or 3 every night and get up at 5am, though.

I got my Xbox today and I am telling all of you ,that the graphics are not really that much better.Thay have jaggies ,shimmering textures and some fog.I won\'t complain since being a little better than is PS2 is saying something.I don\'t buy the first gen games versus second gen games argument.The Xbox is supposed to be so much easier to develop for,so they should be on par with second gen PS2 games.The controller sucks compared to a dual shock.The PS2 will win with Xbox second and Cube third.I collect guitars,game,drink,work many hours and my girlfriend takes up a lot of time.I have 10 systems.Don\'t sleep 12 hours a day.5 is all you need.Halo is awesome,by the way.

Cool.......you got an xbox too. I"m pretty happy with the graphics they don\'t blow away ps2 graphics at all, but their very nice. :thepimp: :thepimp: This is first gen games just look at doa3, halo, nfl fever, and pgr.
