ok, I admit it...I\'m pretty porkish. I\'m a big guy in general but I do carry a lot of extra baggage.
Anyways, a month ago I put myself on a workout schedule. I run 2.5 miles a day, I know its small but I\'m working it up to 5 miles a day and then 10...like I said i\'m a big guy, when i say big btw I don\'t mean fat big I just mean umm big. Anyways then I lift weights for an hour or more depending on if I have time ( but at least an hour a day at the least ) and I do sets of 50 ab crunches through out the whole day.
I don\'t know how much i\'ve lost yet cause I have no scale. But I just wanna be safe and figure out if I should keep eating some of the things I do...
I eat A LOT OF EGG. Not like pounds of them but I eat a bunch of em. Long story short I know that for years it was eggs are good eggs are bad etc etc... as of now tho, are they a healthy food still? will they keep fat on my body? are they making the weight loss process slower?
if anyone knows, be sure to fill me in so I can replace my egg appetite with something else.

bleh...eating too much egg will clogg your arteries and well...kill you...but uhh...im sure they are healthy :)

How old are you?
If your younger than 20 than you should mellow out and cut down the weight lifting and concentrate on cutting down calories and run alot. Because your younger you probably have a higher metabolism that you wouldn\'t have if were older.
When I was like 10-12 I was skinny but always had a chubby face which sounds kinda awkward but it was due to alot of baby fat but I always play b-ball and as I grew taller I thinned out and now I\'m 5-11 and 155 pds.

As far as I know, the egg yolks are the bad part. Too much cholesterol.. But yeah, go ahead and eat them, it\'ll be fun smelling your farts. :laughing:

I see, well its appearing i\'ll have to give up my beloved eggs.
I\'m 15 yrs old. I\'ll be 16 in about a month.
I don\'t lift weights hard, I\'ve seprated them out to handlebars / curl bars / bench press / leg lift. All the weight on each of these is light because I\'m not into muscle gain but more of muscle tone.
and honestly they don\'t give me gas. If they did...I wouldn\'t be eating them.

yeah to me it seems like you working you body way to much i mean if you want to lose weight and gain muscle mass you have to eat right, not crazy like swear off meat but good and healthy, and uning is great and so is biking, but your 15 man you have to wait till your body starts to slow down in growth before you start working you body so much, it gonna rip you ti sherds if you don\'t

So I should cut back hard on the weights?
they used to hurt when I had all the weights on the bench alone, but now that i\'ve seperated them into different areas they don\'t hurt me no more. Well I get the normal burn but I don\'t get the aching muscles.
but even still you guys think I should cut down on the weights?
I wanna lose weight by next september is my goal..

yeah cut down on the weight because if you don\'t i think you are gonna find yourself being tired more then you want to be, but if you lift the weights and the have stoped getting sore that means you have built the muscle there and you are get stronger, so if you want bump the weight up more and you will start bulking up the old saying goes "no pain no gain" but seriously i can\'t stress it enough EAT right that is the most im important thing to do

I see, I gotta get over the hunger strikes first ya know? it just seems that theres nothing healthy thats really filling. Nothing that makes me feel full. I\'m still looking for stuff to do this, but I am eating better now that i\'ve started working out.

If you feel hungry and don\'t wanna snack too much just eat alotta grapes. OMG, one time I ate a whole vine and didn\'t eat for 3 days, they fill you up and are really good for you.

hmm that is hard, what ive found that work for me is sandwitches and smoothies they taste great and they will show you the most results, turkey will build muscle and bananas will lose the weight for you but just be smart about wha you do, and you can trow in a burger every once and a while, just not to often

well my friend lost 40 pounds on this diet of his
i dont remember how long he did it but it was less then 6 months - what he did was eat a grilled chicken sandwhich from mc donalds and got it without mayo - and drank water
anyway he lost the weight by watching what he ate - there are tons of sites that have stuff about food to eat and not - but stay away from high cholesterol - like mayo :)

hmm okay. I\'m starting to see that i\'ll have to get on one diet thats healthy yet filling and stick with permanetly for a few months to a year.

I work out alot myself, and to be honest, you are working out way too much.
Also, EAT YOUR ASS OFF.
If you are lifting weights and running that much, you NEED TO EAT. And don\'t worry, you don\'t have to be healthy all the time. That\'s where diets fail.
I suggest you do the following routine:
Day one: Chest & Back
Day two: Arms and Shoulders
Day three: Abs and Cardio work (run your miles, bro...I only run on average 1.5 to 2! :D Its the time spent moving that counts, not the distance!)
Day four: Legs
Day five: Rest
Repeat.
For awesome workouts and techniques, go to http://abcbodybuilding.com . They have great concepts, and a nice friendly message board. Although they prompt you to join, you don\'t have to.
Anyway, if you don\'t eat, you will burn MUSCLE not FAT, so you will still lose weight, just not the good weight. Take it slow, and safe.
PS- Eat only the egg whites, BTW! :D And, TONS OF PROTEIN!! Lean, fatless protein, like chicken breast. Avoid red meat though.

You\'re going to get lots of advice from everyone. I\'ve been working out on many different routines for about 6 years and I\'ll tell you what\'s worked for me.

- DON\'T WORKOUT EVERY DAY! you need at least one day off for your body to recuperate. When you push your muscles to the limit, they actually tear, and when they heal, they heal bigger. But if you workout every single day, you don\'t give your body the chance it needs to heal its muscles.
- Dieting is the best thing you can do to reduce your body fat which is your goal. Watch calories and fat grams. Eggs are cool if you eat like 2 a day. You are young and have a high metabolism so you should see results in like 1 month
- Don\'t overdo your exercises. If you\'re going to run, then run. If you\'re going to lift weights an hour, lift weights. But putting them both back to back is pushing it. If you are going to do them in the same day, leave a period of an hour or more between them so you can restore your energy.
- Running will give you better results than lifting weight b/c you want to lose weight. Lifting will give you muscle mass which will increase your weight.

Drink Lots of water and strength train with bowflex
but really, drink a lot of water A LOT this will keep you from becoming dehydrated and having your muscles cramp up (hurts a ****load)
and 2 mile run is good no more.
dont do it every day, mebbe a one mile jog one day and a 2 mile the other.
You DONT want to push yourself too hard too qhuck, and from what i heard, eggs are high in protein, and are the greatest thing to eat if you are a bodybuilder, or working out to get stronger. they are good for your health, but you should balance out your diet as well. (Fruits, Veggies)
and as said before, exercise different muscle groups every day durng the week, that means the othert muscles will heal before you work them.
AND MUSCLE WEIGHS TONS MORE THAN FAT
i think its 3 times more, i dont know, but im just telling you, if you start to gain weight, thats not necessarily a bad thing.

wow, thanks for all the input guys. This gives me a better grasp on things.
So, as of today i\'m cutting back on the weights a bit and if I do lift them today I\'ll lift for like maybe 15 min and not the hour, and maybe I only do the full hour workouts on the weekends or every odd (numbers I mean) day of the month or something.
I\'ll continue running, but switch it off daily from 1 - 2 mile runs.
And on Saturday i\'m gonna go out and stock up on like fruits and vegs cause from what i\'m hearing I should keep eating...which rocks and I\'ll also buy a ton of water.
And as for the abbs, I\'ll seperate the crunches more evenly through the day and i\'ll be sure to stop straining my body on all the excersises I do cause I cant excersise if I hurt too much.
And Jergin, i\'ll check that site out for sure.

But maybe in order to get the sex you need to lose the wait first, unless your really funny or you get girls drunk, or....

but anyway ill talk to my friend derek - he just got certified as a personal trainer - also he works at 2 GNCs so he knows what hes talking about
plus he went from 5\'6 skinny guy to 5\'6 built ass mofo if you know what i mean

Dude I went from 6\'0" 170 pounds all the way down to 5\'10" 165 pounds in one week.
Everyone always talks about how hard it is to lose weight. Well it\'s a lot harder to lose height.

I went from 200 pounds to 160 in three weeks using ProEnzi99, a Herbal Medicine. I also did about 500 situps a day, drink lots of water. I cut down on fatty foods like Pizza, Doritos, Hot Dogs, Burger King, Taco Bell, etc. It sucks but that\'s what puts on the pounds. My buddy told me about ProEnzi99 and I thought he was full of ****. I couldn\'t believe how fast I lost the weight. I\'m 31 years old and I\'m in the best shape of my life. I freaked when I could put on a pair of Jeans I wore in High School! My big ass belly is gone for good! Cut down on Soda Pop and drink Light Beer!:bounce:

Dude.... No offense, but what in the hell did that ProEnzi crap have to do with it?
It sounds like if you would have just chopped off that first sentence up there you probably would have lost the same weight and had money to boot.
500 situps a day? Boy, that would take me two days to do... I have to go take a nap just thinking about that.

well actually vid what he took was kind of a supped up meatabolife in a way
and i talked to my friend today and he said that either tacking one of the fat burner - or to take something that will speed up your metabolism - also eat but watch what you eat - you can have cheat days but dont make em everyday - and he also said to drink lots of water and to run - so pretty much you are on the right trck but need a few things changed

Bah humbug!!!! That metabolife crap does nothing. I did two stories on that crap when I was in news. It does nothing. Everything you do while taking the stuff is what makes you lose weight. Drinking lots of water and running will make anyone lose weight no matter what you are taking.
That crap is like a buck a pill isn\'t it?
