Is racism the large issue where you live or are from as it is at times here in the US?
-
Racism is no problem here in lil\'old Iceland.
There are always one or two troublemakers like everywhere. But it\'s not really a problem.
-
I hate people from iceland.
-
Nope racism is almost non existent here specially because we are a mix of races (white spaniards, black africans, brownish Taino Indians) so every puertorican has white, black and brownish relatives so even if you are a white or black puertorrican you can\'t be racist to anybody cuz either your father is black or your grandmother is white etc, etc
As a matter of fact im brownish with long cool hair and my brother is white with really bad hair he,he My father is bronish , my mother is white, and my father\'s mom is black. Weird, uh?

When I lived in Italy the Italians hated the Albanian refugees to hell.
I don\'t blame em\'. These weren\'t Albanian refugees, they were rebels. Most americans called them "Gypsies" cuz\' they looked like gypsies and they broke into houses and robbed you on the streets all the time.
One time outside of an italian gelateria "Ice Cream Store", some Albanian demanded service but the Italian dude wouldn\'t give him ****, and then the Albanian and his "thugs" just all charged the small stand and tipped it over, it was funny as hell.
Oh yeah, as an American constantly living in Europe we were targets of racism.
Why? They were jealous. Me and my friends (americans) would get stared at and Europeans would spray things like, "Yankee Go HOME!" and "**** U.S.A"
One time it was so embarrassing cuz\' me and 4 friends were at an Italian pool and a group of asshole Italians kept saying over and over, "F*** YOU!". It was embarrassing yet funny cuz\' it was the only english they knew and me and my friends just stared at them laughing.
Wow.

Its pretty good here in New Zealand.
Very multi-cultural and most people get along fine

We have some probs - at least some people think we do. It\'s because we have a welfare society here. If you cannot feed yourself the government provides for you... some like it, I don\'t. But that\'s another story. But the problem is when some - not really needy - people travel to Denmark because they get more money out of staying here than being in their own sucky country. So the real needy people (the really poor ones from places with war and the like) probably don\'t get here as much. It\'s a hot topic for discussion here anyways.
And when some of the (um, foreign) people start making trouble (rape of young girls, violence etc.) many Danes start to label all foreigners from specific countries into a certain group - troublemakers.
But finally I\'d just like to point out the fact that Denmark spends more money (percent wise) on poor countries than any other country in the world. :)

Im from Norway and we have about same problems as Samwise.
There is not much racism here in Norway, but u read the newspaper about rape, husband killing wife, violence, pirat taxi etc..... it is 70% of the times someone foreign.
And thats the truth, if u go to town, and get in trouble.... it is also a very big chance that is someone not from Norway that tries to mess with u.... But, there is no form for racism here though, because it is also a lot of good foreign peeps in this country.
