I just wonder how u play Gran Turismo 3.
Well, I actually play a lot without music, not because the music is bad (it isnt :)), but I like the real sound of the engines and stuff :)
Its incredible sound effects in this game, and it feels so much more real, when u drive it without music.
Manual gear is also something I like with this game, since I can then choose to accerlate out of a curve in a lower gear then what it would be done with automatic.
I have still not tried out steering assist types yet...... kinda lazy in that part.
Mention your way to play this game :)

no assists just straight sim for me
I always left the music running

I thought the music was horrid, and immediately turned it off. The only PS2 titles I\'ve played with half way decent sound tracks were Sh2 and DMC. As a matter of fact, the first thing I do when I buy a game is turn off the music... I use the standard control scheme and go straight sim.

I play with the music..I enjoy mos of the tracks, but this where I have to disagree with you. I felt GT2 was better with engine sounds and turbo sounds. Most cars tooooo similar..even with a stage4 turbo on some cars..you can hardly hear the turbo whistle or BOV\'s. ALmost every car sounds like an F1 car when heavily moddified.
I leave it in auto mode and when I feel like playing in manual, I just hold R2 down until I want to shift most of the time. SOmetimes I play strictly mtx mode tho.
I never use ASC or traction control

manual with music, I tend to do better in an auto sometimes though. The music\'s not too bad just don\'t have them louder than the engine and the other sound.
