After making some extra dough and spending foolishly, I\'ve put together a lil Home Theater for myself.

There\'s also some pics of me waiting in line for the PS2 and Xbox if you\'re interested. And plz post pics of your setups, I always find them fun to look at.
btw, Halo rox! So does MGS2! :)

Umm, is it just me or did I only see one pic working? lol

heh, thanks for the heads up. Damn m$ frontpage keeps changing the pic urls to embedded files when you save. It should work now.

Do yourself a favor and get a pronto remote. You can by the old version pretty cheap now. LCD screen, looks just like a palm pilot. It\'s awesome. I push one button and it turns all my equipment on, switches the tv and stereo over to DSS, and puts up a screen with icons so that I can just choose the station I want on the remote. I had 8 remotes in my living room, plus I can control the stuff in my bedroom with it as well.
You can do so many macros with it. Very neat unit.
Great setup though.
I remember in college we had a room that was about 10X15 for a bedroom for 2 of us.
My buddy and I combined stereos. We had two receivers running 2 main speakers and that all the base was taken out of and we had a huge speaker box with 2-15" woofers in them. The box use to be in a nightclub. It was huge, but boy did we shake the place. We lived on the 2nd floor of a 15 floor dorm. One time the dude from the 4th floor came down and complained. It was great.

They come in color too, but if you get the older model like this one it\'s not that expensive.

Forget it. Get the One For All Cinema 7. It\'s only $29.00 and it does EVERYTHING that every other replacement remote does. You can build macros on every key, it can learn commands from other remotes, and you can find code lists on the internet to activate features that were not even implemented on the stock remote. Hackers have reverse engineered the data port in the battery compartment, so by building a cheap serial cable, you can save your key programs on the PC and transfer them to the remote any time. Sure it\'s not as easy to use as the Pronto... BUT IT COSTS $29.00!!!!

I am currently borrowing my friends digital camera, but have no web-space to post any pictures. Anyone know of any free image-hosting sites that don\'t have a "catch"?

Can you put station logos on it and have macros for all stations so that you don\'t have to memorize channel numbers for 300+ stations?
Hmmmm. Can you control lighting with it? You can push one button on the pronto and it will turn all your equipment on and dim the lights. You can save pictures of your kid on the screen. The only thing good about the Cinema 7 is that it\'s cheap. You can get a pronto for about 100 bucks now days.
Oh and when you build macros with the cinema 7 you have to remember what button means what. Yawn. Can\'t remember that crap. Too many beers in college.
