Now a year after the launch of Ps2, I am hearing fuss about jaggies, ram, and all of the sort arise again. I heard reviewers at Gamespot complain about jaggies in Tony hawks pro skater 3! I mean how picky is that?! We just recently came from a gaming era infested with them and now all of a sudden gamers want to get picky about some jaggies only noticeable if your looking for them?! Its really sad how many Ps2 games get this treatment. I mean god, sit down and play the game for the content, have fun. I personally love many ps2 games as well as some for Xbox and Gamecube. Ps2 could have been created a little better, but if you have seen what it can do then there is no doubt that good things can happen. X box of course can because its huge first of all and second it also had another year to correct mistakes that other systems made, ( yet some games look just as bad as some mediocre games for ps2. I mean munches oddysey could have been almost duplicated on ps2, the xbox version doesnt look all that great). Gamecube\'s architecture is beautifully created and is very capapble with SOME kick a$$ games but even some of the games here look not all that spectacular. I mean, could you imagine what the ps2 could do with just 4 more megs of ram? : ). All im saying is that many gamers are getting very picky and pissy about their games and should punch themselves in the nutz for being such ......... Use your imaginations. (sorry this is so long but hey i had to do something huge with my premier post). What do you think?

well, i think people are complaining about jaggies because all these powerful consoles STILL cant get rid of them. I never noticed them in any games i played on PSone or N64 till i read all this crap about them in forums. NOw when I play games, I look for them for some reason, i hate it. I remember back when I could play games and actually play them and not go "oop, theres a jaggie" it sucks.
Also, I dont like when people say "XBOX is more powerful than the PS2!" well it better be more powerful if it had one more year develpoment. If it was the same or less powerful, I wouldnt even ponder the thought of buying one.

Reviewers point them out because they are discussing graphics--it\'s perfectly legit. We never noticed them before because graphics were never good enough get you thinking that it almost looks real.
Tony Hawk still got a great review so it does seem that these people actually did play the game and enjoy it.
Munch actually has amazing detail and busy environments. It is a high mark for contemporary graphics. They may not be the best, but they are polished, varied and, at times, gorgeous.
Personally, I want to hear about all aspects of a game. If it has graphical quibbles, I want to hear about them. We are entering a time when we as gamers can expect as much.

I am sorry but i think it is right that people say stuff about jaggies, i know you won\'t get rid of them completely but, i thought the ps2 would do a better job then what it has with the jaggies so far, i mean come on this is ment to be a NEXT-GEN system.
Jaggies really get to me, i don\'t know why maybe it is because i am a graphics designer, and i like things to be clean, if it wasn\'t for the gameplay in some of the games, i would have sold my PS2 by now, i wish that it wasn\'t the graphics that i look at first, but it is, and i am not happy with all the JAGGIES!!!
I feel abit better now:D

Why do some of you guys freak out when someone brings up the topic of jaggies?
If you could play a game with the graphic quality of Toy Story, or Monsters Inc. would you pass it up?
I am sure the people who are designing these games wish they could get rid of them, and you should too.

Yeah, I got your point. We shouldn\'t care that we paid $300 dollars for a powerful system to get rid of those jaggies... Gee, gotcha, thanks for pointing that out ! :rolleyes:
