well you can call me what you want but as far as i know this is a console debate forum.. ok ill get started..
I have heard all the excuses and insults people have had towards the XBOX. Microsoft makes it so its horrible.. Well i got news for you most of you are running a MICROSOFT windows platform and its just not true Microsoft has entered the gaming market and did a hell of a good job with the XBOX..
"Its too big and and heavy"- as far as i know i dont carry around game consoles.. and are you that poor that you live somewhere where you cant put a game system. And if its to heavy for you i STRONGLY reccomend you sign up for a Gym becuase if you cannot carry 8 WHOLE POUNDS you need serious physical training..
"The Controller is big and bulky"- the controller IS big and it IS bulky and the point is.. if your fingers arent big enough for it then you must have a growing disorder.. and plus there are other controllers about 12 diff. kinds
"No Games (besdies Halo)" - actually Xbox has giant 3rd party support and is going to have a lot of games by January for Now you have- Halo,Munch,Project Gotham Racing,DOA3,Amped,Azurik,THPS2X,Transworld Surf.. just to name a few..and Xbox will also be getting GTA3 and MGS.
to tell the truth i was going to get a PS2 because i am an ULTIMATE MGS fan! but when i heard that the XBOX would get MGS (MGSX) then i decided to go with XBOX..
and the reason i am writing it (check the title) i have NOTHING against PS2 but i would hope that you guys wouldnt be so negative towards XBOX.
As far a GC is concered its a diff. Market ..Fisher Price and Game Cube might have to slug it out in the end...(:

The only reason why I won\'t buy an xbox is because I absolutely hate the controller, my hands are way too big for it. If $300 falls in my lap and a decent 3rd party controller hits the market, I think I just might get an xbox.
But untill then. . .

LOL! GC vs. Fisher price? Lets see fisher price make som re stuff, n64 got kiddy near the end of its career as did psx.
And Mish, you may not have known this but GC beat out x-box in the market! Som smart marketing ideas by Nintendo and some experiance really pays off. So since MS shipped 300,000 and Nintendo shipped 700,000 it was simple for GC to outsell MS in the market.
So what is it? MS vs. Barbie and Ken?
Next time read more posts before posting this kind of poop.
And yes the controler is to big for children, yes if a grown man cant hod it he has deformed hands (except japanese who have smaller hands) but a child can hold it. A big factor in sell a good system is getting the kids.

What do you consider a child? I\'ve seen many kids playing xbox quite well in stores. Munch either gets great reviews or mediocre ones--I didn\'t like it, but many people love it. DOA3, you are way off, it has recieved excellent reviews. PG is not trying to be GT3, not even close. It\'s a different game trying to do different things completely.

Come on guys. He says that his hands are too big for the XBox controller, it doesn\'t get much funnier than this.
I was very, evily tempted to go into his thread entitled "And you all thought I was dead..." or something like that, I was gonna say "No, I thought you were gay...I was right!"
But I lost the ambition to go out of my way to make fun of people anymore.

Oh, and I read the post that Ryu linked to. It\'s good to know what y\'all really think about me. . . especially altered. . the angelic mormon.
No guys, really, the controller is set up too small. When I hold the controller like I\'m supposed to, the entire set of buttons are coverd by my thumb, the stick hits my hand where my thumb joins my hand, and the "hand grips" are too stubby, the controller literally slipped out of my hands a couple times while I played the Munches demo.

heh well i know what you mean about the four buttons and all
i have itty bitty hands for a guy and my thumb covers em all too
well i think that the controller is fine though it did take some getting used to - but overall its a nice controller - only wish the d-pad was more like the sony one - i the xbox one is easier on the hands but it makes my thumb slip around when my hands get sweaty but anyway thats really no biggie

1) Don\'t run a MS OS 90 percent of the time.
2) Don\'t care. I happen to be extremely fond of Win2k and some other MS products.
3) It is big and bulky. I could care less about its weight, but I don\'t like a huge console. That still did not stop a purchase or final desicion on it.
4) The controller size isn\'t that bad. However, some of the buttons are in screwy places and I still think having a "back" button is moronic.
5) None of the above mentioned games interest me. Until Sega and Capcom games are coming out, I could care less about pluggin up the ole\' Xbox..... Same applied to the PS2 when I got it , so you can\'t say I was biased. I didn\'t even play it really until Onimusha came out. By the way, Halo sucks ( IMO).
6) Practice what you preach. If you want to preach this \'be fair to every console\' mentality, then that is fine. Practice what you preach though.

Finally we got some Xbox kiosks overhere, so I was able to have a go at it. Suprisingly, not many people seem to be interested. I\'ve seen the Xbox in two shops so far. One had a PSX, PS2, DC and a Xbox set up - while the Xbox was totally ignored! Anyway, that doesn\'t mean anything, just thought I\'d post what I have seen. :)
The first thing I noticed while standing in front of it, was the size of this thing. Incredible. Never did I think it would be that big... Damn, they even put in the Xbox a bit to the side, because it probably wouldn\'t even fit if they had put in in straight. Anyway, size doesn\'t matter (well, not right here anyway), so I\'ll continue with my first hands impressions:
Unfortunately they only had the demo, so I couldn\'t play any games except for Munch. I watched all the movies and the graphics are nice (especially the AA), but I was not blown away or anything. I also played the Munch Demo and got a good feel of the controller at the same time. The controller IMHO is one of the worst I\'ve ever held though... really.
It\'s somewhat bulky (which I don\'t neceserally mind), but it\'s the layout of the buttons and especially of the two analog sticks that I had problems with. I\'d say I have medium big hands (fit perfectly with the Dual Shock 2), but the joystick seem to be either too far away or too close.
On the left side, it\'s pretty confortable to hold the joystick, but the d-pad is too close to my hand. On the right side, the buttons (first 4) are nice to press, but as soon as I need to move the right analog stick, I have to move my whole hands further down to get a good hold of it. I can imagine that this could be pretty annoying if you play a game which makes use of both analog sticks. Other than the controller, I don\'t really have any big negative issues with the xbox. The graphics seem to be nice, especially the forest stage of DoA3 cought my eye. Amped almost impressed me most, but it was hard to judge it well, since it was just a video and therefore not playable.
Anyway, I just thought I\'d share this info with you. Feel free to add your comment on it.

You forgot to quote the "IMO". If you are going to quote me, at least do a full quote. I did not say HALO sucked to everyone, I said, it sucked in my opinion. DO you see the difference in the two? I hope so.

Yes, most do like Halo Mish, its just that L-I-C has addressed his dislike for all FPS so don\'t be suprised with his opinion of Halo

Yes, I dislike 98% of all FPS and 100% of all console FPS if I can\'t use a mouse and keyboard and last I checked I can\'t use a mouse and keyboard with HALO, so I have to suffer playin\' the game with some wacky ass control...No thanks.
