All I can say is wow, anti aliasing goes along way in XBOX games... Pitty PS2 developers can\'t seem to get it right.
Ohh well.

Four distinctly different types of rallying, all in one game - Race to the clouds in the Hill climb events. Navigate rough country roads in "traditional"Rallies. Fight for pole position in the bumper-to-bumper Rallycross and Ice racing championships.
More than 25 famous rally cars –Licensed vehicles from manufacturers like Audi, Citroen, Lancia, Ford, Subaru and Mitsubishi. The (in)famous Group "B" cars of the 1980\'s are also included as part of this great assortment of vehicles.
Robust Career Mode - Starting off with a limited selection of cars, you\'ll have to race to prove yourself and gain entry into the Professional-, Classic-, and ultimately, World Classic-circuits. As you race, you\'ll earn points – your key to unlocking new cars and qualifying for the upper race-circuits.
Advanced graphics and audio - Rallisport Challenge will show swaying trees, animated crowds, animals avoiding your car\'s path, and realistic particle effects as you run through mud, dirt, snow and water. Damage modeling will also be incorporated. In leveraging the audio capabilities of the Xbox, we will ensure to deliver distinctive audio effects from the actual cars.
Multiplayer - Up to four players can compete simultaneously in a multiplayer race. There\'s nothing like the absolute thrill of racing head to head against your closest friends and humiliating them!

can someone explain to me what anti aliasing is?
-
Its a programming techniques to remove/soften jaggies.
-
why are u bashing ps2? i thought u liked ps2?
-
Fishpie, get a life.
I am just not one minded, I play games for the games, not for the creators of the console.
I love the PS2, and will probably love the XBOX too.
Oh, and by the way, the PS2 has some SERIOUS aliasing problems, its a fact.
-
fishpie, i would barely call the coment racer made, bashing of the ps2, he is just stating a fact. The ps2 has a few problems, X-box was able to fix some of these, and with the extra year they had, it would have been embarasing if they hadn\'t.
-
why did you bash the guy who said you bashed ps2?
-
nice backgrounds, but something looks odd about the car
looks like its just plastered on top
-
picture number 3 has jaggies, the shadow ! :D
-
The cars do look alittle bizarre don\'t they, but I am hopeing that these are really early screens.
Looks to be a real winner I hope. I just wish the PS2 could resolve its jaggies issues.
Does WRC have jaggies as bad as GT3 or the Wipeout Demo?
-
whats with the blur also?
an early, EARLY build it better be
-
Totally awesome.. Too bad I don\'t own an Xbox though. :(
-
It\'s beautiful !
-
2 bad the game suxorz at this stage :)
(Yes its developed by DICE in sweden.. So gaming sities have already played a beta)

GT3 does not many have jaggies, it has 1x FSAA. Even with FSAA there is still some jaggies and flicker
quit yer whining
-
1x FSAA?
isnt this a contradiction in terms?
-
Im not sure if it the same true method of 1xFSAA but it is very similar or even better to what my gf2 card achieves at 640x480
-
Wow the wheels and tires look amazing. I hope the game play lives up to the graphics. I am with you on the game thing. I have a PS2, DC, GCN, and X box and could care less what system the game is on. :)
-
lets all stop bashing things and each other, im sorry ##racer##.
btw those pics look great.

AFAIK it doesn\'t have FSAA. They just increased the vertical resolution to get rid of the jaggies and used some mip mapping, but that doesn\'t work at all with racing games( too much small white lines).
It looks good anyway.

You are a kiss ass..
This is the debating forum. If you want to yell at racer then go ahead. Just have a backbone.
I agree with one perosn who mentioned before that the shadow has tons of jaggies in one of those pics.
My first impression also was that the cars look plastered onto a background. It just looks fake to me.
Except for the first pic. That one looks great.

It\'s because there aren\'t any reflections
-
The movie for this game looks amazing though.
-
The graphics look good but I hope they put a little more thought into gameplay and physics. GT3, although the graphics look nice, is one of the worst driving games I\'ve ever played. They make the cars look realistic but I don\'t call bouncing off a wall head-on at 120 MPH and sustaining no damage realistic. If the game has graphics like this and the physics at least *resemble* the real word like Smuggler\'s Run, ATV Offroad, etc. that will be enough to get me to buy an X-Box.

Racer, I think you exaggerate the jaggies in PS2 games too much. I can\'t understand why you mention it so much, I hardly ever notice them if I\'m not looking for them specifically. I think it\'s unfounded. But to each their own.
-
JP, it might be because I own a JAP PS2, and the JAP version of GT3 has major alias problems. If anyone says it doesn\'t, then you are talking utter bull.
I personally believe anti-aliasing is the KEY to creating a game that looks like FMV/CG. If jaggies are present, then its obvious that its realtime, but when jaggies are illiminated, and all edges are smooth, it trully looks different.

COLIN MCRAE FOR LIFE!!!111!!!!!
