I\'ve seen this posted at IGN.com forums. I can\'t wait to see screens. ;)
Here\'s the link to the news: http://www.gamesasylum.com/
"Shinji Mikami has announced that he\'s working on a sequel to Devil May Cry for the PlayStation 2."
-
To be expected and its why RE was put on GC
DMC is Capcoms new big boy and for obvious reason
Now how will they improve on the 1st
-
Devil May Cry was obviously goin\' to be a new franchise, so this doesn\'t surprise me in the least. They give the ultra-popular RE to GC and make another ultra-popular franchise for the PS2. Perfect business.
-
I heard they are gonna call it "Devil Never Cry"... hint, the ending.
I don\'t know where I heard that from.. I think I read it on a review of DMC on ign..
-
What do you guys think they could add or improve on for the sequel? I mean in terms of gameplay and chit, not just better graphics or something like dat.
-
one thing they MUST change is the Static Camera.........I cant count how many times I got killed because of te camera being in the wrong position.
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:

I didn\'t like Devil May Cry. I think it is one of the most overrated games I have ever played. I didn\'t like it enough to even finish it. I hated the camera. The story was boring. And it seemed to borrow a little too much from Resident Evil. I don\'t think that I would even rent a sequel to that game.
-
knowing capcom there\'s gonna be a lotta sequels, prequels sidestories, etc.
n improvements, here\'s what i could think of
1.more combos/attacks
2.more complex movies
3.mix ifrit/alastar(any other weapon) attacks
4.switch guns on the fly
5.multiple endings/paths
6.more playable characters(dante n trish or dante\'s son n whoever)
7.more blood/mature stuff(violence is always cool)
8.better story(dmc1 started out good but got lame near the end)

What exactly did it borrow from Resident Evil? The only thing it "borrowed" may of been the few simplistic puzzles, other than that DMC has nothing that the RE series has...
I\'ll give you it was over-rated (and I love Capcom) but for totally different reasons.

Geez you guys are already talking about the sequel, when us european\'s don\'t even have the first one :(

Yes I wish they could have added more to the storyline.... That\'s the reason why I love MG, the storylines always rule.
DMC ruled in everything other than story. I especially loved all the moves you can learn! I\'m still playing it, along with ICO and MGS2....... So that\'s why you haven\'t been seeing my sig getting updated.
And you say "overrated"......... NO WAY! DMC is just wayyyy to much fun.

I played DMC a little. But ajoh432 sounds like they need to add more missions or whatever right?

Like I told you before..... Plenty of missions!
Just the game has more action and less talky, so storyline is minimum.

Yes, most of the missions is very short, to me is like "What the Hell?" but the game packs some shoting actions! ;)

wonder how long they\'ve been working on it since onimusha 2 was about 1/3 done by the time onimusha 1 came out n they put a trailer in the game.
good old predictable capcom.
