2D or not 2D is obviously the question, but Konami reps are saying nothing on the latest incarnation of the vampiric franchise. All that could be gleaned from the company today was that there is likely to be a departure from the last games, made in 3D, released on N64.

Take a look. All the titles listed below are for PlayStation 2, aside from the PSone version of Pro Evolution Soccer.

Konami confirmed it along time ago, they also confirmed that they was aiming for a 2D installment. I remember posting something about it, with a long article a few months back... Either way, it is great to see an actual release date...

I played the old Castlevanias and I loved them.  I missed out on SOTN though.  Hopefully this game will be able to match its greatness so I can make up for not ever playing it. :)

You must find it. SOTN is easily the best Castlevania game I\'ve played. :D
