Title: XP Dial-Up Question

Okay - I am running XP and have a dial-up connection.

whenever i open an app. that requires internet access it automatically dials out. this is on my computer.

my grandfather bought a box loaded with XP and when he opens an app. that requires internet access, he is required to make his connection first.  manually...

i.e. if i am NOT connected to my isp if i open "windows messenger" my connection is automatically dialed out.

my grandfather on the other hand haves to connect first then open messenger.

where in XP do I need to make a change.  i can\'t seem to find it...

goto internet explorer click on the connections tab click next to never dial a connection this will make itso your computer connects only when you tell it to
