I purchased a copy of the Winter Jampack and I played the demo of Baldur\'s Gate.
The overhead camera is really far away!!! What is the use of nicely created characters & creatures, if you can\'t tell what they are?
Don\'t get me wrong, I am going to get this game. However I feel like I should sit right in front of the screen so I can see what I am fighting.
Does anyone have this game yet?
Does it have any 3-D levels? (Like Gauntlet?)

Im really confused about the 3d levels? Do you meen levels where you can climb on multiple planes? I would assume that they might have one or two ramparts. However this plays mostly like Diablo.

YES, that is what I was trying to say.
Thanks for the information.
Is there a way to "zoom in" on the characters?
Does the camera angle ever change?

Is baulder\'s gate any good?.... I asked for it for christmas... but I dunno... I don\'t see fun in RPG\'s.... Never tried one..

Unfotunatley the over the top camera angle is the reaosn why the game looks so damn good
with a fix camera the develeoper can render more polygons on the enviroment in view and less on what a person controlling the camera might do
This was one of the *****es about the Summoner in the big city of Lanelle an over the top camera kept you from viewing the city from a behind the character angle which is much preferable
I haven\'t played the game yet so I can\'\'t comment on gameplay

It\'s really fun... The graphics are great. My only gripe is that there only three characters to chose from.
If you like Diablo this should be within your realm of enjoyment. I have seen effects that I thought would take PS2 at least a year to implement; pixel shading, bump mapping, multitexturing, enviromental mapping... very pretty, especially if your on a better TV.
My message "Buy It!"
