This is the first thread I\'ve started, and it is bad news: Next Gen magazine will publish their last issue Jan 2002.  Read for yourself:

The best mag on the planet IMO.  I loved Daily Radar and now their print cousin is finished.  

I am saddened.

Next Gen was a good magazine.

its a shame if only console specific mags prevail

Yah, this is really sad.  Why couldn\'t it be Lamepro?  At least I respected NextGen, probably the last multi-console magazine I respected, now there\'s nothing.  EGM or Gamepro?  What\'s your poison, literally.

Never liked the mag much. It has all been downhill for game mags since the fall of the great GameFan.

Yeah, I liked GamFan too.  

And why not Gamepro?  I mean does anyone read that crap?

Correct me if I\'m wrong, but isn\'t Gamepro the #1 most read game magazine in America?  It has a few million subscribers.  Yes, it is crap.  But millions of people don\'t know that.

huh, do get any gaming mags never have actually, i think that all the stuff you need to know is right here on the net no use and paying extra for it

Yep, I bought game mags before but I think its a wast of money.  I thought after.....why should keep buying game mags when you can get gaming news faster on the net.

yeah i\'d rater have a game then a gaming mag if i wanted a magazine i would get insider the virtual mag so i don\'y have to wait a month to get new information

Sometimes I buy those Demo Disks...  You know, the ones that come with the free magazine. ;) :D

Yep, I think so as well.

NextGen was 2nd best though and its sad to see them go.

I really hate GamePro, also, that is pure crap.

My favorite mag of all time though was Ultra Game Players. :( . That died as well.

Anyone remember that mag called "Incite" ? I thought that mag was great. They had one of the first previews of the PS2... It went out of buisness after 3 months... :(

It was my favorite mag, followed by EGM.  To be honest, i haven\'t bought too many mags lately, i get news/pics etc.. from the net...
at least gamespot.com is up and running.
