Ok, I have finally decided to buy a PC.
This is what I will get within 10 days.

Processor: AMD Athlon XP 1600+ 1.4GHZ/266MHZ processor  
 Memory: 1GB DDR-memory PC-266
 Harddrive: 60GB harddrive U-DMA100  
 Graphic-card: 64MB nVidia GeForce2 MX 400, TV-out
 Monitor: Monitor 19" TCO-99
 Cd/DVD: DVD-player
 CD burner: CD-RW 24x 10 x 48
 Ethernetcard: 3com 10/100Mbit PCI
 Keyboard/mouse: Logitech Optical wirel. keyboard and mouse.
Printer: HP DESKJET 940C COLOR INK PRINTER
Scanner: CANON SCANNER CANOSCAN N1240U

Very nice.  I need to upgrade to a gig of ram..  Might as well since its so damn cheap!!

But thats a power house dood..  Kick arse, yer gonna have to play Wolfenstein with us...

hope you dont plan on running new 3D games with this
at least not over 800x600 with 32bit color

dont skimp on the vid card
go for a GF3

everything else seems nice tho, depending on price

I´m going to get the GF3 when the price is right. I don´t want to put 200$ more for a GF3. When I will need a GF3 I will get one for 100 $ hopefully.

I´m going to BUMP this topic 2004 or so. I think we will laugh at this then. :rolleyes:

Soyo Motherboard (raid, 5.1 sound, Lan, etc)

512 PC2100 DDR

ATi Radeon 32Mb DDR

seagate 40Gb 7200 (2meg caching)

(CPU, case fan(x2), floppydrive, 50 floppy\'s ) Superpower case w/300w p/s

Windows XP

$750 -- self built, newegg.com (parts)




CD-Wr and DVD soon to follow...:)

I just wanted a decent v-card since I don\'t use the comp for games.
