Title: Kiwi Hero shot dead

Sir Peter Blake, a New Zealand hero was shot dead today. If you dont know who he was he has to be one of the most successful sailors ever from any country.
He won the around the world yahct race and the Americas cup twice.
He was on a goodwill mission in Brazil sailing on the Amazon. His yahct was attacked by pirates and he was shot in the back twice.
All of New Zealand is in mourning today :(

I know most of you guys have probably never heard of him. He was only a KIWI sporting hero. We are a small country.

But he was the Skipper of Team New Zealand (Black Magic) that won the America\'s cup. It was only the second time in history that it has been won by anyone outside the US.
Plus he acieved other things in his sport, plus he was a great goodwill embassador

I remember reading about the Kiwi team winning America\'s Cup. I was like.....WHAT? IMPOSSIBLE! But it was true. If some of you aren\'t familiar with America\'s Cup, it\'s like a basketball team from Smurf Village beating the NBA All Stars. May sound extreme, but America\'s Cup has always been won by an American team for over 100 years.

I feel for him - and even as I haven\'t heard about him, the fact that he lives in New Zealand is a reason enough for me to participate in the rest-in-peace wishes...

( Peter Jackson, whom I have now officially nominated as the best god damn director in the world - or at least the most original one - is also a Kiwian, and through him I have gotten interested about the country, and would love to visit it. Mainly due to the fact that Lord of the Rings was shot there \'tho ;) )

Ive been in both countries and I must say that australia has more shanty towns that New Zealand, the fact is that New Zealand pissed all over Australia:D nah they\'r both great countries ;)

But this is bad, damn those pirates to hell! :mad: :evil:
