I\'m getting this system for christmas: http://www.bestbuy.com/detail.asp?e=11058080&m=58&cat=64&scat=66
And I\'m just making sure which speakers go where. The long horizontal one sits on top of my TV, the two large speakers are next to the TV, and the 2 smaller ones sit behind me. Correct?
-
I believe you hit the nail on the head with that one.
-
yes
the long one is the center channel and the 2 larger speakers are your main left right while the 2 smaller speakers are the surround left right which go behind you

Yep........you better hope that the digital input is optical and not coax.......the PS2 does not have a digital coax plug.

Well the input is a square shape. What\'s the coax input look like?
-
Coack is the same thing that yuo hook up your cable TV with
and the square thing sounds like Fibre optic
just make sure before you do buy. Fibre optic is a must and you\'ll need a Fibre optic cable which costs $40 with tax
-
So coax is round with a little pin in the middle? And I\'m probably gonna but some toslink fiberoptic cables @ BestBuy.
-
yes
-
And what cables would I need if I want to get TV/VHS sound through the system?
-
does it have audio (Red and White)inputs on the back?
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:
-
Yes, here is a pic of the back. The optical in is not pictured though(its to the extreme left). (https://psx5central.com/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.bestbuy.com%2Fimages%2Fesku%2Fback%2F11058080baA.jpg&hash=7a57c1887fbde744bd4e4c088ac2efccd2cf1932)
Would I just connect audio cables to the Audio Out on my TV to the red/white plugs on the back?
-
the Aux/DVD in the back looks like an Input.......so if you are going from the TV to the stereo system I would say yes.
