It looks like a pretty good game, and might be worthy of my money this spring.

Graphically it looks decent
One part Golden Axe, one part original Bushido Blade and one part Thill Kill adds up to Titus new fighter Barbarian.
Developed by Saffire Coproration of Utah, Barbarian represents the first game from Titus that we have actually been looking forward to, now that we have seen the game.
Titus is describing the title as an action fighter. Once simply an arena based four player fight to the death, ala Thrill Kill, Barbarian now moves into multi level arenas that mimick that of the original Bushido Blade. Much like Square\'s open level fighter, Barbarian arenas are simply enormous; multi-leveled battle realms that span several screen-lengths. All of the environments have full interaction, as you can use almost anything as a weapon, including other characters! Now there\'s more Thrill Kill for you.
The game features 10 different combatants all of which would fit nicely into Golden Axe or Gauntlet. Each has different strengths and abilities, as you would expect from a fighting game. The use of combo maneuvers and magic attacks are all here, but BARBARIAN adds a little more with Rage attacks and the future implementation of RPG elements. Your character gains experience levels as they battle and may choose several different paths throughout the game. Some of the character advancements will allow your character to specialize in certain aspects of battle.
The RPG like stuff I mentioned comes from playing though story based quests by yourself with each of the ten characters. One of the things I am interested in seeing more about is the choose your own adventure style that Barbarian incorporates. Titus has informed us that every successful quest brings the choice of where to go next. Where you go changes the future as much as your victory! As you advance in the story, you will earn upgrades for your character. Not only can this character be used in the ongoing Quests, but you can play against your friends or the game in versus mode with him.
What really has us excited is that with the PS2 multitap up to 4 real players, for a total of 8 on-screen fighters, can battle it out on the massive screen. I\'ve been hankering for a good multiplayer fighter ever since Thrill Kill was canned and perhaps Barbarian can ease the hunger.
Titus hasn\'t really had a breakout hit here in the US. However Barbarian has entered our radar as possibly the game to get the Titus name on everyone\'s mind. Until we get a chance to play we will just leave it to these screens.
guess its a wait and see thing to how it will really be
