because my principal is canadian and i was in his office and he was talkin to me and he said abuuuuut and i started laughing at him.

You\'ve been victimized man, I\'m sorry to hear it. The way Canadians say that word is "A BOAT." Just say it like you were saying "I\'d like to buy a boat," and you\'ll get it perfectly. They all think their pronounciation is correct and we\'re wrong. All I have to say is HAH ha ha hah hah ha hah ha :laughing: :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:

but ill let you guys go on saying that we do....the rest of the world has to think that there is something wrong with us.....

The other funny thing is that every Canadian claims "they don\'t pronounce it that way." However most of them do, and they\'re unable to hear themselves doing it. No offense intended, but that\'s what I\'ve noticed.

**** thats harse , i was nearly thrown out a couple of weeks ago i was on report for 3 weeks ( yes i had to behave for three weeks ) and if i ****ed up i was gone. its getting good at school now coz every teacher has givin up on making me good so i get away with everything. i do no homework, no coursework and best of all i can swear at every ****ing teacher and they dont do ****

I read 3 of your total 11 posts and I can already tell you are probably biggest moron on this forum. Swearing at teachers, not doing your homework, being on suspension for three weeks... You think that makes you "cool?" You think that makes you a beautiful and unique snowflake? I\'ll be laughing when I see you on Springer trying to do wrestling moves on yourself and your mom crying about her troubled-teen. Maybe they\'ll get a military drill sargeant in there to straighten your hick-ass out.

oh dont get me wrong - i know its spam but needless to say if that is spam for those reasons then so is what proud to be said because it is just the same thing - saying you agree with someone without adding any thoughts to it
just pointing that he is not the only one at fault but it stood out because he posted it in one simple WORD

It sounds like you are leaving things out, like why you were in the Principles Office in the first place. I think that you did something to get you into the Principles Office in the first place, then you making fun of him by laughing just pushed him over the edge. I can\'t imagine what "ah-bah-wt" sounds like, but it doesn\'t look any closer to being right. By the way, the English do not say "a-boat" and the Canadians do. Therefore, your theory about Canadian english being closer to correct is all wrong.

Sorry to ruin your fantasy, but the vast majority of Canadians do not say \'a-bout\' - I emmigrated from England in \'93 (I was born there) and I didn\'t notice Canadians in Ontario or British Columbia pronouncing about as \'aboat\' and I still don\'t. I still speak with an English accent but my girlfriend doesn\'t say \'aboat\' unless she\'s refering to a sea-faring vessel and neither to my friends.
You say you don\'t mean to offend but as a Canadian and a British citizen I take offense because I read comments from someone several thousand miles away from Canada saying that Canadians don\'t know how to pronounce English words correctly and perpetuating this retarded myth, and then when a fellow Canadian forum member informs you that Candians don\'t pronounce the \'about\' as you believe it is pronounced you basically tell him that all Canadians are \'unable to hear themselves doing it\' - so, we have some genetic disorder that doesn\'t allow us to hear the words we say? I\'m new Canadian citizen, does that apply to me or do I have to be born here?

I don\'t think he\'s so much a moron for actually doing all this stuff.. but to brag aboot such piddly lil crap is pretty lame. This stuff should go without saying.. you need to pull some stuff that actually gives you a name in that school. When Freshmen in HS can recognise your name 3 years after you\'ve graduated... then you\'ll have something to brag about after you give the customer his change.

i highly doubt that he has done any of that bs...hes just going for the bad boy persona...and he think that the people in these forums will think hes cool for "getting sespended"...but i can see right through him
