Title: Sony takes a bite out of crime, er, piracy.

Well, unlike the Bleem situation, I think this is time it\'s justified.

Too bad for those of you who where planning on buying mod chip, but at least this will stop piracy some.

Just look at Napster, then look and KaZaA and Morpheus.

there are lots of chips coming out still and not to mention the ones already out. this will only bring free PR to ******* makers.

I agree with jm. There are so many companies that picked up where napster left off...so not to worry.;)

http://www.playstationmods.com/ was a site that sold mod chips, not a site that manufactured them.  I have heard that Sony is fighting against all major mod chips.  If another mod chip is made, Sony will go after that one too.  This isn\'t like Napster where anyone with a couple years of programming experience can make an illegal program.  Mod chips cost a lot of money to develope and manufacture, which makes it even easier for Sony to stop the chips before they get out.

Ironfist: I knew a seen a Ironfist around them forums (couldn\'t remember which chip manufacturers it was). I wondered if it was you or not.

There are thousands and thousands of "IronFist"s on the internet.  When I found that out, I stopped using IronFist as my name on forums.  So this forum is pretty much the only forum that my name is IronFist.  On other forums, my name is usually Sumasshu, and sometimes Tetsubushi.  So, um, to make a long story short, that IronFist probably wasn\'t me. :)

Ha, ha... ha.... Poor mod bass-terds.

Why would somebody wanna do that... I guess they don\'t like the pretty cases that comes with the 50 dollar game...:D
