Horrible, horrible service.
Customer support number that loops a message, emails that go unanswered, and shipments that arrive extremely late. Again, do not buy anything from buyrite.net.
Did I mention HORRIBLE service?
I\'m sure other importers here can share their stories.
(I\'m a tad bit upset right now, so I\'m trying to refrain from using not-so-nice words.)
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BUY-RITE!

thx for the warning datamage. I would also like to warn about http://www.justdeals.com. I\'ve purachsed countless things on the internet and they are by far the absolute WORST company I have dealt with.
To make a long story short, I bought a Logitech steering wheel for the ps2. The description said Red version with force feedback and USB connection.
They sent me the yellow version with serial connection and NO force feedback. Since it uses a serial plug it\'s useless to me and won\'t plug into the ps2.
I emailed them about it and rechecked (even triple checked) the webpage to verify the description was still the same. When they caught wind of this after they received & read my email, they quickly altered the page and said I was looking at the wrong product the whole time. Since I had no proof I am stuck with a yellow steering wheel that\'s still sitting in its box.
F*CK THEM.
ps- anyone wanna buy a yell .....errrr red steering wheel w/force feedback for cheap?

THX: You should dispute the charge with your credit card company! That will get their attention.

No one buy stuff from http://www.weripyouoffbad.com
I got ripped off!
DAMN THEM!
-
I wanna ask...is http://www.buy.com a safe place to buy stuff? Because i want to buy some dvd\'s for my friend and it seems that this place has the lowest prices...besides ebay!
-
Just for all you techies out there. http://www.coldcpu.com is one to avoid as well. Sent me the wrong product and would not respond to any e-mails.
-
Even Yahoo Auctions can have some sketchy people as well.
My dad bought a new cpu for my sis from Yahoo Auctions and it arrived with a cracked face plate and my dad threatened to sue him, and he send my dad back our money.

When it comes to imports, if it\'s game-related, http://www.ncsx.com is probably the best out there, even though it\'s a bit pricey. http://www.gamemusic.com for videogame music isn\'t too bad either, but prepare to take it up the tail-pipe with shipping since they get their stuff directly from Japan by order.

Yeah Buy.com is a quality site in my experience.

I\'d like to agree with Ryu. NCS is definitely one of the best places to import from.
Stay the hell away from BuyRite. Away.

Yes! you answered your own question!

Alienware really sucks!!!! I waited two months for my comp only to have it arrive damaged. Then to get new parts the jerks want a credit card for deposit reason to replace my DVD drive - like I would have any use for a broken one? Did I mention they were slow? My video card went out and it took them 10 days just to ship the thing.
When my comp works it runs great, but IMHO if I had to do it over again I would have gone with Dell or Falcon and probably would have saved some money.

actually I used buyrite a couple years ago and all the stuff got to me pretty quickly, I didnt really have any problems with them.
NCSX is definetly the way to go online, as with a few others around the internet.

A couple of years ago Beasty. Things change.
Anyhow, there\'s plenty of horror stories regarding buyrite out there, I only used them cause no other place had what I wanted. Won\'t make that mistake again.

Actually doing an RMA is pretty easy with ColdCPU, just e-mail rma@coldcpu.com, and you will get an automated reply on exactly how to return/exchange/etc...
Hope that helps....
