I have my Playstation 2 hooked up with the regular component A/V cables, and my cable TV is hooked up using the coaxial cable. When I play my PS2 there are these annoying dark lines moving across the screen. I found out that when I unplug the coaxial cable from the back of my TV, the lines disapear. But even when my PS2 is pluged into my TV\'s front A/V inputs the lines still appear. How can my coaxial cable interfere with my PS2 if the cables arnt even touching? Now every time I go to play my PS2 I have to unplug my cable TV first, and it is getting very annoying. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
To sum things up a little: Any time my coaxial cable is hooked up it interferes with my PS2 signal, even though my PS2 is connected through the component A/V jacks.

Sounds like an "annoying TV problem" and not an annoying PS2 problem
something in the TV is causing interference. Try playing your PS2 on a different TV and see if it happens there as well

When stuff like that happens its normally the tvs fault!!! So dont go blamin sony for ur damn tv.

I tried it on a different TV, and the problem dissapeared. Its too bad, my TV is only about 5 years old.

I understand the point of mjps21983.
When ever something don´t work with the PS2, TV, Receiver or so, ppl blame the PS2 first...
"My Microwave-Oven don´t work right if I play PS2..."
"My neighbours Soundsystem makes funny noises if I play PS2..."
"My heartbeat rises if I play PS2..."
THAT´S annoying... :D

Thank You for seeing my point eye.:D

Actually, I didnt mean to make it sound like it was a PS2 problem. I knew something was screwed up with my TV. The problems first appeared after someone "repaired" my TV about two months ago.
But the only question now is, do I buy another "regular" TV, or save up the extra cash for a Flat Panel. :D
Hey! My car wont start! It must be my PS2 interfering with it! ;) :D

No boggie
but people are quick to blame the PS2 in some situations

Yeah in *some* situations, but can you blame them!? It seems that if your PS2 hasn\'t had a fault then your the lucky one.
