Dad owned a Pong unit. Just the console itself with round knobs and wood trim. It was 3-4x bigger than the Xbox. Was the official name for the system Colecovision? I can\'t believe I forgot...
Well Pong, and Atari. I loved playing Pole Position!!
-
Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt man. Two of the greatest games of all time. I have myself on tape of me opening my first nintendo. Actually...I think it might have been my first orgasm.
-
I honestly don\'t remember, all I remember is playing Mario for NES and playing atari across the street at a friends house
-
cant remember...ive played games all my life...its just something i fell into...i had an oldr brother who played games all his life to, so...it would be before memory....possibly before conception

you beat me to it ya punk. That was my first game of choice. I played atari\'s forever though, my parents had 2 that basically became mine.
BUt yea..alex kidd was the game!!!!

Space Invaders, followed soon after by Pac-Mac, Donkey kong, Asteroids, Star Castle and a few other Arcade machines of the late 70\'s early 80\'s
Pong was alwyas there but never really fascinated me
-
duck hunt at my cousins...and mario that came with it
-
Arcades...
I remember going there for ski ball and whatever.. Then I crossed over to the part with the TV screens.. And BAM! I was hooked forever. :)
-
Atari got me addicted. I can hardly remember the games that I played but they were great. If I only still had an atari.
-
Zelda Link to the Past...I still like it even now!
-
Mario and one of my best...Elevator Action. It is a pitty that kids these days, looking at 10 and younger, do not see those games. They have no concept of where graphics started and what it looked like years ago. That is why we appreciate the games of today. Gone are the bright colours and in with visual art!

A game didn\'t really get me into gaming. I would say the Amstrad CPC464 got me into gaming.
-
Super Mario Brothers
The first, and absolute best game I\'ve owned.
-
River Raid on Commadore 64 is the game i remember playing the most as a kid.. I had played older games.. But i can\'t remember there names.
-
Mario Bros. but it kinda died out until I played the psx, so I guess I have gone in phases.:bounce:
-
When my cousin introduced me to his C64 :)
-
Space Invaders on the Atari.
-
Blackpool UK on the North Pier Arcade (1976/77) (I was 9).. No particular game but it was like I had found heaven... (and a Granny with a seemingly bottomless pocket of 5 and 10ps :)
But I may have had a pong unit before then (everyone had em didn\'yt they), I\'m not sure...
I still look at games now and say "F**K! we\'re blessed" :)
-
I got hooked w/ atari2600, but when I got my Commodore 64, I played loderunner\'s rescue. (the one that you could build your own levels.) it was sort of 3-D (more like isometric)
My twin brother\'s got the C-64 at his pad, but the floppy drive is shot. DAMN!
-
Sonic the Hedgehog 1 on the Genesis.
-
Donkey Kong, Parsec, and Hunt the Wompus for the TI 99/4A got me started on console gaming. (Had a type of Pong system but didn\'t really play it all that much)
Kings Quest 4 was my first game on the PC and it\'s what got me hooked. ("You mean I can type in whatever I want and she\'ll actually DO it?!?.. Mmm the possiblities!")
-
Legend of Zelda
-
Good ol\' DigDug... and Paratrooper. These were the first games I remember playing for days on end on our trusty Xerox 8086 PC. It was \'87 or \'88 methinks...
The first game I remember that had a huge impact on me was The Legend of Zelda : A Link to the Past (...that I had previously bashed and said to be a piece of cr*p, without even playing it. Good thing that fanboyism can be cured by great games like this.). I still love that game... pure bliss. Anybody have a copy for sale? :p
After that gaming\'s just been a natural part of my life. Sometimes even moreso (namely when a Final Fantasy game comes around :p). Games rule!

Gotta be the atari 2600. I played that baseball game soooo much with my father, where the fall was just one big fat pixel. Oh, and breakout (which had amazing pics on the cartidge cover, but again, but single pixel ball, with 10 pixel blocks). :D
Then commodore 64, played BigMac, Spyhunter (oh yeah), and loderunner for a while.
Then an XT, pitfall, digdug, jumpman, etc. --> P4 now....
Lastly, the \'good\' consoles really started with SMS (ghostbusters mostly), NES (so many - ice hockey, metroid, supermario, zelda) --> PS2 now....
-
tetris has to be the first game I ever played and enjoyed, it was the version they had in the arcades. Oh man , those memories. I miss these days when games were about fun and not about graphics :(
It was Mario that got me to like nintendo and tekken what made me like psx. Eventually GT3 and TTT would convince me that i needed a ps2. These games mean allot to me thes days
-
I don\'t remember the names of any particular games. But I do remember playing my friends Master System way back in the day all the time. That was pretty much what got me hooked on gaming. Good times. :)
-
Laugh as you may, but the bottomless pit known as ET for the Atari2600 was the first game that I ever played and caught my attenion.
-
Pong and Asteroids.
I also had a system called Famicom. It\'s the Japanese version of Nes, I think.
It breaks easily, though. I had to buy 3 of them.
I don\'t even know why I bothered.

The Fanicom is the Japanese version of the NES - and yes they do "break" easily, as did the original American models (until Nintendo made the top loading one). The problem is the cartridge connectors eventually quit depressing to their original state when you remove a cartridge, so the next time you try to play a game, it never connects to the game, therefor the NES doesn\'t realize there is a game there and it gives you the infamous blue screen. You can replace the 72 pin connector, work on it with a screw driver (there was a cool article on how to do that at http://www.classicgaming.com ) or just buy a top loading NES...

I can remember playing Centipede on the Atari 2600 and Dizzy on the Comodore Amiga but the games that really got me playing were Super Mario Bros 1 and Nintendo World Cup on the NES.
Sensible Soccer is one of my fave games of all time and is and will always be a classic...
Oh fond memories!
