I think the makers of the game shark have something like this out right now, they used to be called dex drives but i think they are called shark drives or something, u stick your mem card in the port and hook it to ur comp and download other peoples saved games.

Yea, what Kimahri is refering to is called, the SkarkPort. Thats where you can do such things.

yes the sharkport! but not all the ps2 games are compatible. Also I bought the 16Mb mega memory card where you can zip the savegames so you can store up to 80Mb. Al of my 8 games are working but not gta3. when I zip that game in en then out on my regular memorycard it says "corrupted file". so my gta3 save was f*cked up. i tested it a couple of times on that game and it still came whith the error corrupted!

I wouldn\'t waste my money on a SharkPort/DexDrive if I was you. Before long you\'ll be able to get online with the PS2 and you can just download Savegames as easily as clicking on a link. If you can just hold out for a few more months, I\'m sure you won\'t regret the decision.

I have the Sharkport and it works well. Personally I think it is a nice add-on for the PS2. To each his own, of course, but I like to use it especially on games I rent. For instance, I rented THPS3 the other day and my son and I wanted to use the locked characters Darth Maul and Wolverine. We didn\'t really have the time (nor the inclination) to unlock them so we downloaded a savegame where they had already been unlocked. We did a similar thing on Twisted Metal. We unlocked all the characters so that we could have everyone available for 4-player matches. Overall it is just another product that helps me maximize the value of my PS2. And given the expense of games and consoles these days, it\'s not a bad option to have available.
