Title: can i play my ps2 on my comp?
Post by: silverfish on December 19, 2001, 11:31:40 AM
I saw that my ps2 has a usb port.  just wondering if there was anyway to hook it up to play on my computer screen?  I have seen this done with older units like the n64 without the usb.  Just wondering cuz that would be very cool.

what you\'re looking for is a VGA adapter. It\'s an adapter that turns the normal tv-out signal of the PS2 into a VGA signal (the one that\'s needed to view it on your monitor). Ask any gamestore and they should be able to give you more detailed information about it.

Welcome to the boards.

Seven summed it up nicely but I would like to add that I call these devices VGA boxes. I haven\'t really heard the term VGA Adapter used so if you have no luck in searching for that search for VGA Box.

I just use a capture card... with S-video. Does the job nicely.
