From IGNinsider\'s interview with Hiroaki Yotoriyama, Producer.
IGN: Rumors have indicated that Namco is in fact developing Soul Calibur 2 on a Nintendo arcade board and not System 246, as has previously been announced. Is there truth to this? Have you experimented with the arcade hardware or Microsoft\'s supposed arcade board based around the Xbox architecture?
HY: We\'re currently developing this game based on the "System 246" so I think that\'s just a rumor.
To end the debate I told you SC2 was on system 246. I knew that gamecube arcade board was a bunch of crap. :D :thepimp: :fro:

i know me too it was just the nintendo fanboys arguing with it claiming the spaceworld 2001 pics were from an unknow gamecube board. Hmmmmmm.........they look pretty bad know.

ahhh those nintendo pricks

Hell yeah, that rules. That means the port should be easy and not turn out crappy. To tell you the truth I think the System 246 is becoming the top Fighting arcade board. Meaning basically every arcade fighter could be easily ported to PS2.

That they are.:) :) :)

They\'re no worse than arrogant / ignorant Sony fanboys. Fanboys for any system are "pricks" - so lets not make this one sided, eh?
;)
Either way - its good news. Soul Calibur rocks.
