Has anyone else out there played this game and not really liked it?
Dont get me wrong, the game isnt horrible. Its nice but I just cant get into it. I rented it a couple of days ago... played for about an hour then put it back in its case and its been sitting there since. I dont really even want to play anymore.

I\'ve only played the demo of RedFaction and I like it. :D
-
Id rather get down with some Return of Castle Wolfenstein.
-
RF kicked so much ars, that is still one of my most favorite games, i play 4 player every once in a while. i beat it twice

ok unknown, howd you get into this game? Do I just have to play it more or what cause its kinda blowin goats right now.(only about an hour into the game)
-
Do you dislike FPS in general or is it just RF that you can\'t get into? I really liked RF even though I never quite beat it.
-
No I like FPS games a lot. They\'re great, but theres something about this game...
-
Yeah its a good game. I bought it completed it and took it back. I don\'t rate the multiplayer game as the maps seemed naff but the solo game is good.
As for getting into it I dunno. If it hasn\'t came naturally I wouldn\'t force yourself to play it. If you do want to give it another chance just make sure you got some free time so you can sit down and play it properly.

doesnt compare to the PC version, but a solid single player FPS
-
Go for Wolfenstein..... a lot better.
-
007 kicks Red faction in the face! Way better game IMO.

agent under fire is crap!!!
you got to to play rf for a bit to get used to controls ( aiming) and to get better weopons......it does get a whole lot better

I also have agent under fire and let me tell ya it does NOT compare with Red Faction..
Red Factions control scheme takes a little time to get used 2 but after that it\'s a piece pf cake, the story line also gets better as you go along, although I haven\'t played the PC version, the PS2 version kicks for me. The only con im sure everyone hated were those random loads, especially when your in a heated gun battle and all the sudden a loading screen appears.
the Geo mod is a remarkable thing, experiment with it to see what you can do and just have fun :), it gets HARD later in the game.

RF is alright, so is 007, I played RF for a little bit longer and it was still the same for me. I guess I just lost my taste for good ol FPS. 007 on 64 still is my fav.

Yeah I agree with what your saying but i\'d like to also add some more downers to Red Faction even though the game is good. The Geo-Mod is nothing more than a gimmick. After the first few goes I don\'t think you will use it after that. Also its impliemented less and less later in the game.
The slowdown is anonying too. Almost slows down every time Geo-Mod is put to use.
