i remember seeing somewhere that gt3 maxed out all of ps2\'s capabilities in every way, is that true?

Ive heard just the opposite, that it didnt utilize much of the ps2.

Well it\'s unbelievable that our black box can handle this much of detail at rock solid 60FPS. But it\'s only around 25% of full PS2 potential used in that game that is because the game engine has reached it\'s limit and it is in fact proved by SCEE that putting GT3 in PS2 Analyzer(An application which compares PS2 software with it\'s actual processing power) that there is still lot of room left in PS2 for developers to tke advantage of. There are comparisons you can draw with XBOX vs. PS2 in terms of graphics, sure XBOX uses progressive scan and has NVIDIA based GPU which is easier for developers to port a PC game to XBOX or vice versa. But have you seen any PS2 or other Console games port on XBOX, hell no instead games like eg.ExtremeG3 is ported from PS2 to Gamecube. PS2 is hard to develop but once you master it detail will burst out from it. Just compare Ridge Racer V with GT3, there is a huge difference. Now that Sony has launched new and improved TOOLS, based on that we will see some competition now. People talk about Jaggies in PS2, well just show them Baldurs Gate:Dark Alliance, that\'s an example that Anti-Aliasing can be done on PS2.

i mean come on where have you been - lets see Onimusha is ported

Yes..... GTA3 will be ported to Xbox... But I don\'t care.... At least we got to play it first... So I\'m happy... I just hope Xbox\'s version runs at 30fps as well, then I\'ll be really happy..:D

Actually from what I\'ve heard GTA3 may not be going to the xbox, it was never really confirmed in the first place

I just learned it from the GTA3 Warehouse site... So I really didn\'t know for sure..

of course GTA3 could release on XBOX once Microsoft acquires Rockstar :laughing:
