In everyone\'s opinion what ps2 game has the most replay value? I ask this because I am currently playing FFX, but after I finish it(within the next couple of days) I want to know what would be the best game to burn up about a month.(I\'m out of college for a month between semesters)
-
actually with all of the sidequests for FFX you should be playing it for awhile....i\'m still not done yet.....I only have 7 hours logged but I work.
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:

I\'m pretty far into the game right now, all I have left is about the last 10%.
-
hmm...if you have friends, any multiplayer game from TimeSplitters, to Quake3 to Tekken to The Bouncer...
Twisted Metal:Black is good multiplayer to (but you need a multitap and controllers for the multiplayer to be successful in most of the games (TM:B has a great co-op mode though, same with Half Life))
but you seem to me like a guy with no friends...so...may god help you...not many games last a month if you dont have friends (which you obviously dont)
:D toot on
-
wow seems like somebody has some unresolved issues...
-
I would think it would be some type of fighting game.
Dont know about you guys, but I play alone often and fight friends often.
-
whenever I see thread titles like this I get excited and get games in my head, only to find out that they are PS2 games only.
In which case I can only say GTA3.
most replayable games I know of: Street Fighter 3: 3rd strike and Phantasy Star Online.

Single player I would say SSX (or now SSX Tricky).
Multi Player I would say Rumble Racing. It is one of the most underated games around. Get a friend involved and see how much fun you can have. And yes, I do have the liking of GT3, DOA2, James Bond: AOF, etc. For some reason the other just dont stand out of the crowd.
-
I was thinking about getting GTA3, I just wonder if it is really as fun and imersive as the reviews say it is, because THPS3 got a 10 at game spot, but I really don\'t find it that great in the replay department, even though I liked THPS2.
-
definately GTA3 great game (just trying to get to 6 stars is fun for hours) i forgot about it :(

"most replayable games I know of: Street Fighter 3: 3rd strike and Phantasy Star Online." - Altered Beast
Ok.. so how come yer never online then dammit?? Really, I wouldn\'t say it has to do with replayabilitiy, it\'s more like an addiction really. Sort of a watered down version of the feeling you get when you\'ve been without Everquest too long. :P
If you\'re talking about games in General, I\'d say QFG.. but since yer only talking PS2 games.. I\'d say RTS or Multiplayer games offer yer best option for replayability... expecially when the PS2 goes online since your not just limited to kickin yer friends azzes over and over again.. everyone across the nation/globe is looking to mop the floor with ya.

For PC it has to be Starcraft and Everquest.
PS2: Gran Turismo 3 and GTA3
-
SSX Tricky. It covers multiplayer as well. Just create sweet replays. Me and my friends spend hours doing that. :)
-
Devil may cry has to be it
i mean playing it on HARD has to be a challange what will all the supprises
and there is still all the other levels to play it on once you beat the Hard mode
*please note i am drunk while writing this*

GTA3 and Madden 2002!

-

Here comes a different reply. but.....
NCAA Football 2002
The thing I find addictive about this game is not actually playing the games, but recruiting, getting hired by teams to be the head coach, doing all the recruiting, and then simming...Yes, I said simming the games...Quite hard to actually stay hired somewhere when simming because you have to adjust your sliders every week to allow for more passing defense calls, more rushing, etc. Best I\'ve done so far is taking Idaho to a 4 star prestige rating from 1 star...Might try it, I\'ve prolly spent 40+ hrs on this...
ust a thought ;p

I agree that game has very high replay value, as most sports games do. Sorry simming just doesn\'t cut it for me, the game is the action and I have to be playing.
I own AC4 ( Ace Combat 4) I love this game and I replay it over and over. Beat it a countless nuber of times on every level except ACE. I\'m still working on that level. I\'m getting close ;)
Ico I own also, I\'ve played it over and over just because it\'s pure eyecandy walking around in those worlds. I love it!
MGS2 I shouldn\'t have to explain why this has good replay value. Take you months to fully beat this game on every level and collect evert dogtag of every level.
And Finally, FFX I\'ll never get tired of this game! You can replay it over and over and probably never get tired of it. I know I won\'t. Plus it will take you along time to beat. Took me just over 100 hours.
So there is my 2 cents.

I agree, FFX has an incredibly high replay value. There are quite a few side jobs you can do, plus blitzball, and so many different ways of doing things.
-
Don\'t be surprised here...
Plug in your Logitech FF steering wheel and then pop in Burnout. Can really prove addicting. Nowhere near as purdy as GT3...but running through traffic is simply as blast.
Can\'t wait for the next NFS!!!
