Title: MPEG converter

Does anybody know of a decent program that will convert mpeg-1 file formats to mpeg-2?

I have downloaded a couple and they have not worked correctly.

any help is appreciated.:)

go to http://www.vcdhelp.com

look in the Tools section. They have programs that can help u.

do you use any of the decoders soulgrind?

If so which would you recomend?


Also, can ps2 play vcd or super vcd?

I have heard rumors that it can.

And i have heard that it cannot but codecs will be placed on the hard drive that will allow to play vcd\'s and super vcd\'s.:)

I use Divx codecs myself.. Avi format etc. Mpeg3 for audio format.

Not sure about that.. You would probably have to buy some sort of addon. I haven\'t heard of ps2 playing VCD.. The standard in VCD is Mpeg2 normaly. So i doubt it would need codecs on the hd.
