From the Hong Kong PlayStation 2 Expo, Sony revealed that the next sequel to Gran Turismo will definitely have online play modes, variable weather and daytime effect during the races, and new courses in Hong Kong and China. Sony is expecting to release Gran Turismo 4 sometimes in mid-2003.

Can\'t wait for more info and first pics and movies :)

This is great!!....All they need to implement now is wind in a game...hang on the flags blow all over the place...wonder why the trees dont?
-
I hope that they have more new courses. Not just a few. Infact they should have nearly all new courses. There is only so many times you can do Grand Valley. And most of the others
-
Sounds really promising, considering the fact that they\'ve been working on a new engine for it since June last year.
-
I want more rally courses. Longer rally courses.
And car damage.
-
I agree Gman.. it would be great if there were some point to point rally stages aswell.
-
1. Car Damage/Dirt needed
2. More of a rally mode (best part of 3)
3. Much harder to win the majority of races (test vally was SOOO BORING)
4. Less boring
5. Better multiplayer
6. Me losing my virginity
7. An outter space mode
8. Transformer mode
9. cars that reproduce, and you build the babies up...kinda like the chocobo game of FF7
10. a car thats shaped and colored like a penis

I agree...in multi-player mode should be incorporated into sim. mode IMO..let you and a buddy battle it out. Up to 6 IMO.
I also think more realistic damage should come into play. Failing motors from lack of oil change, failing transmissions, broken wheel hubs etc..
Maybe a autox section and a true drag racing section.
-
Seriously.Where has the Omega Boost and Motor Toon mini games they promised in GT3 gone??
-
The really expensive race cars should require an ongoing maintenance cost to keep them in drivable condition. Also the extreme high performance of some cars should be countered by poorer reliability, just as it is in real life. In-game breakdowns are needed... blown clutches, burned out brakes, tire punctures, steering failures, etc etc. They could put this into a special "simulation" mode, and turn the old simulation mode into an arcade mode.
-
Well I feel they need to make some more adjustments than just alterning the weather conditions and adding some more courses.
-
They really should have a paint shop in it and a spoiler shop.
-
sounds cool, but i agree we need damage, it makes you a better driver when you got to be careful, not if you ram into this wall at 45 degrees it puts you on track for the next corner with out slowing you down to much.
weather sounds cool
more tracks
more rally tracks
one thing id like is that the game races in proper time zones ( like the game on dc) where you set the time in your country, then say its mid day where you come from , when you race there it midday, when you race somewhere in a different time zone...say ahead of you it night time there...that would be cool
more gimmicks like being able to customize numberplats, make your own designs up cars, or make your own team racing logo or something

And BETTER AI
AI in GT3 sucks so bad, they realy have to fix this.
-
I really have no complaints about GT3. It was just as good as I thought it was going to be. Althought there are some things they should of left in, like racing modifications, it doesnt degrade the game itself at all. GT4 will be GT3 and TONS more. Cant wait.
-
Anyone every played Viper Racing for PC?
Puh.. You gotta be REALLY careful in that game.. One crash and your out.. (respawn - lose alot of time)
Im kind of hoping GT4 will have a mode like that :D
-
I think they need more smoke from the tires
And they need to bring the muscle cars back
Also they need the 1971 Phase 3 GTHO that car would rock
Anyone else agree
-
Ive heard that a version called GT4 Pro will be released on the PC.. :surprised
-
And better engine sound, more like GT2
-
There should also be a shop were you can customize your car lights, get 22 inch wheels :D , or add a really cool spoiler. Just like in Tokyo Extreme Racer for PS2.

I definitly agree..almost every car in GT3 sounded either like a turbo or F1 car once a tranny mod or more breathing mods were done.
-
Basically what all of you are sayin is make it more realisitic, like if it were u really doing the shopping, but on a video game, alot cheaper to pay 50 bones than to pay 15000 for a used supra or something and fix that up, drag has to be in it otherwise it will be like the others no reason to play.:thepimp:
-
If they just add weather and a couple new courses I will be happy, I want the other stuff like damage and more mods but I loved GT3 so I can\'t complain much
-
They better add a ton of new courses IMO
Weather effects and car damage in simulation mode.
More parts to play with and paintjobs , and since the HD will be availble we should be able to design our own skins for our cars
Not to mention ripping a true awesome soundtrack

Damn, that\'d be cool if they actually bother to do that. I\'m tired of that techno/rock music in the game.
-
by the time GT4 hits the shelves we will have the harddrive and it will be a common capability IMO

That\'d be cool. I know X-Box already has this option.
From what I\'ve heard, it\'s very good.
BTW, how much will the HD cost?
-
nobody knows for sure,
-
Hmm
I\'m just going to guess $70-$100 for now.
Thanks for the info, anyway.
-
i want 2 things in GT4
Damage - but i know that wont happen because of those stupid car companies dont want their cars damaged
In Car view - with real steering wheels and dash boards (they were going to do it for gt3 but didnt have enought time
give me these and i will be very pleased
