Title: Question on PS2! Sorry.. I\'m a Newb!

I just got a PS2 for Christmas and I already knew about the thing it does to DVD\'s picture when your PS2 is hooked up through your VCR like I had to hook mine up. I bought the system for games but I was wondering if it does work with the RF Adapter (yes I know DVD\'s aren\'t going to look THAT much better hooked up that way but oh well I don\'t have a TV with A/V and it SUCKS) I\'d really like to find a way to convert only the Video of the A/V cables and keep it hooked up to my speaker system but I dunno if you can do that and keep the video from scrambling... (I have the video connected to my VCR and the audio going to my other speakers) I just want to be able to watch DVD\'s without buying a new TV!! Sorry if this is a newbie post but I\'d really appreciate any help! Thanks!

Yeah it works with a rf adapter.  it does harm the picture that much but the sound will be dramticly changed

dont they pack manuals in the PS2 boxes anymore?

well... My mom got it for me and repacked it in a different box due to problems with me finding presents early lol but anyway she lost the manual and well I\'m up the creek without paddle.. so I figured I\'d ask.

lol, without a manual yer gonna have a hard time watching R rated DVD\'s on it

What\'s so hard about it?? Oh well.. I\'m not really worried about it I don\'t watch many movies anyway even if R rated movies didn\'t work it wouldn\'t hurt. Ok one other question... is it possible to buy something to convert just the Video to RF and not the sound.. like something outside of the system and it\'s accessories... Maybe something I could go pick up at an electronics store??

Speaking of that, do porno DVDs have that same security level thing? Just wondering. :nerd:

Get a modulator, it costs about 30 bucks, but u dont have to hook it up through the vcr.
