DEVIL MAY CRY 2 AVOIDS XBOX AND GAMECUBE

While the original continues to wow the PlayStation 2 hardcore, talk is already suggesting the game will never appear on any other console

15:03 While Capcom is refusing to go further than "no comment" at the moment, cement-hard talk is emerging that Devil May Cry 2 has been earmarked as a PlayStation 2 exclusive. Publisher Capcom has been keen to point out this morning that the follow-up to one of the hottest titles for the Sony console last year remains unannounced.
We know better. Devil May Cry 2 has long been confirmed by insiders, and it comes as no surprise that the franchise is to be kept exclusively for PlayStation 2. The original emerged towards the end of last year as one of the most stylish games ever made, arriving from the stable of Shinji Mikami, the legendary creator of the Resident Evil franchise.

Capcom appears to be nurturing the game for its own specific purposes as Mikami\'s zombie-whacking series, in stunningly updated form, heads exclusively to Gamecube. Xbox looks to go wanting for the company\'s triple As; currently Capcom has lizard-crusher Dino Crisis 3, Samurai-slasher Genma Onimusha and unknown quantity Brain-Box in the works for the machine.

Well sony may have lost RE but that got something so much better.  From the sounds of this it sounds like the whole DMC fanchises is exculsive to the playstation brand.  Once again a very smart move by sony........:thepimp:

Eh? There was not a damn thing in there that said it would be exclusive. I mean the whole article was nothing but speculation. Not saying it won\'t happen and I do expect DMC2 to debut on the PS2. Just saying that the whole article seemed like a vain attempt to come up with some exciting news on an otherwise dull day.

yeah it says no where there that it is exclusive, but i hope it is, i was gutted when i heard that re wasnt coming out on ps2 anymore, only on gc, but after re:cv, i dont really care, they all have the same puzzles, and as much as i love it (re that is ) its a bit samey on all games, they need to do something new with it!!!

God that sucks that there will be no more resident evils on ps2
