Title: Dolby Digital/DTS output for PS2
Post by: sonodude22 on January 15, 2002, 08:01:37 AM
OK, I\'ve got my fiber-optic line hooked up and selected in the \'system configuration\' of the PS2.  My receiver is indicating that it is receiving an audio signal through the fiber-optic connection, but I\'m still not getting the dolby digital and/or DTS sound when viewing a DVD movie (I\'m getting regular sound, but my receiver isn\'t indicating that its processing a DD/DTS signal).  What else can I do?  Thanks in advance.

make sure you select AC3, or DTS in the dvd movie menu also.  normally they default to stereo.  make sure yer receiver is switched to output digital sound also, and not a analog signal

also make sure your audio settings on the PS2 is set for optical. Edit: Nevermind I see you already did that.......

... and if all else fails, throw the record away, move to New York and go to a party with Warren.
