Title: Another thread bites the dust
Post by: videoholic on January 16, 2002, 04:34:27 AM
Granted it wasn\'t the best thread, but it\'s the only one worth replying to.  There was absolutely no reason to close that thread.  No one was getting irate.  I\'m talking about the pretzel president thread.

I\'ll be seeing you guys.  I have more fun chatting on Windows Messenger anyway.  At least there you don\'t get sensored.

Peace out.

Oh yeah, suck it!!!

Please don\'t leave.
This place is getting depressing.
I can see where your coming from though Vid. Some threads are getting closed that don\'t have to be :(

Damn!

I only post at work, so I miss all the good arguements. Then the thread is closed by the time I get in.

*clears throat*

America rules!

*dives into trench and waits for the barrage*

I usally don´t posts comments on topics like this but I feel I have too now.
I dont want my kids to grow up in the US. So what i have the right to say what I want (at least here in Sweden).
I would never let my child grow up in US. I know others thinks like mee. Don´t ever forget that every human on this planet has the right to say and write what the person thinks and belives in. Its a human right and should also work on this forum. If I belive that US is a dangerous place and I don´t want my kids to grow up there I have all the rights in the world to post it here.

Yet you guys with your too violent America haven\'t said one thing to back it up, so what would you expect, and your basing this off of what, the 16 years you\'ve lived here:rolleyes: , I won\'t say anything more because I don\'t want this thread closed either, oh and VID don\'t go, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!;)

I support Bossieman\'s right to post his opinion.  I also support my right to post an opposing opinion or ask Bossieman questions about his opinion if I choose to.  I diagree with threads on this subject being closed, so long as the argument has not dissolved into personal attacks or name calling.

so ALL of the US is dangerous?  like the Uk doesnt have ghettos.

ive been there in case i didnt mention it earlier.  besides the french, the Ukr\'s are the angriest peopls alive.  perhaps they\'re still mad about losing thier cash cow, the states

but to get to the point, every country has its pros and cons.  i never really classified myself as an american.  sure i was born here, and i have travelled very abroad.  i like to think of myself as an Earthling, nothing more

He could also be referring to Article 19 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human rights.

"Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers."

I was going to say something.  I\'m glad you spoke up first Lucas Biggins...

The freaking alliance was a bunch of dweebs that spammed 10xs more than the spaminators and licked 10xs more butt after Soul stopped the thing.

Glad your back.  Maybe I\'ll stay if I have someone to cause trouble with.  This pot needs to be stirred.

Aw Video, I\'m sorry I closed a thread that needed to be closed IMO. And what am I, just a mod... ehem. Well, I see you people have succeeded in carrying the bad mood from the old thread into this. Congratulations people. Perhaps I should just leave this place behind because no matter what you do, someone\'s gonna complain, ***** about it and leave. So why not just follow the trend.

But come on you fecking whiners. The thread was so filled with personal attacks, namecalling, un-constructive BS... you name it. I had every right to close it down and if someone is unhappy about it they can either:

1) Send me hate mail (has always been a favorite of mine)
2) ***** about it and leave (as many others think is l337 and K3WL)
3) Just shut up and take it like a man / be rational
4) Try to help / improve things around here so that a thread wouldn\'t need to be closed

You choose.

That thread wasn\'t bad.  IT was just a debate amongst passionate people.  Not everyone has to agree with everything.  Although if everyone would agree with me my world would be a much better place.:D

It really wasn\'t as much about that thread as the fact that all of the good threads get closed and the dull ones fester.

It started over Fanta.  Damn you Fanta!   And I mean it was "Fanta rules" "Fanta sux" "Europe rules! America is violent" "America rules! Europe stinks!" and all this because of a little drink known as Fanta.  Again I saw damn you Fanta!
