I want to but I won\'t be able to afford it for atleast 2 months.

But I\'ve got the demo. It only has the training missions and one real mission but it seems really good. It\'s got good controls.
But the ground part of the mission wasnt very good. The controls were funny for that part, but the flying seems all good.

While in the plane you\'ve got a hover mode which is really cool.
Can\'t really comment much though sorry until I get the full game

Dropship is a great game if you ask me...
It has a very nice and well thought control of any object you can stear ! At one point you are a pilot, than a gunner and then a driver or both !!! It is real fun ! The grafix are above what I expected and the replays are very cinematic ! I wish you could save them... I captured some on Video... :D
This game ROCKS !!!

No, I\'m just waiting for my preordered MGS2 which is
supposed to hit Europe 8th of March and I\'m waiting
for ICO which is still not here. Sony Europe, give me
a release date on ICO and it better be March or more
early  !
Does any European boardmember know of an official
ICO date for Europe ? Thank you !
So there\'s little room in my wallet for Dropship.

picked up Dropship today, really wasn\'t sure about it but think its excellent, the mis where you take on the choppers and vehicles in the APV is great fun, agree its a shame you can\'t save the replays.
Apart from that is a great game, much better than I expected.

Wow I have to say this is encouraging

Now if they would announce that US date

No dates for US? That sucks!

Played through about 6 missions now, controls are excellent, combat is well thought out, big fights are not over complicated switching between air/ground targets. Good radar and auto target aquisition. Dogfights are superb.

Graphics are not bad, considering the huge scale of the game its pretty impressive, occasional slowdown and distortion of buildings but nothing too bad.

Aircraft/vehicles have very good level of detail (& physics) after burners, under carriage, vapour trails off wings etc etc. Soldiers move a little strangely but dont see them much at 1000kph :D

Lots of variation in the missions as you progress, picking up and dropping off vehicles etc, defending special forces/transport ships. Cut scenes throughout are nice, all using game engine.

Excellent effects, dust on landing/take off, explosions & smoke etc, nice missile trails, particle explosions.
Sounds are good, excellent with speaker system,

Really feels like you are part of a bigger battle, lots of friendly AI\'s (that you can direct at some points) fighting with you, nice radio chatter.

Replays are cool, lots of camera angles (no control over them) switching between fly-bys, weapon view, target view, very cinematic, can watch them over and over :)

Overall i am VERY impressed (and surprised) one of the better games I\'ve bought and well worth the money.

i got it sat morning, havent played it too much s have been round my girlfriends, im about 7 missions in.

this game is very very good, the first 2 missions are really just getting used to the plane, you have to fly in a canyon so you dont get spotted. even the first few mission when you dont have to do much are very cool, they have fixed the problem from the first demo, you can put auto land on, on the first demo you had to land it yourself, though this wasnt to hard as you have the excellent hover mode, but you had to face a certain way. the graphics are very nice and clan, good detail, though you dont get to see it when you are flying to much. gameplay is hard, but very fun, especially as there are 3 different thing to do, first flying, the driving a small armoured car, then the com drives you gotta shoot, it all works well, and when playing level 3 when you do all 3 in one mission, i really felt myself " getting into the gamme and being tense" as i had low armour and was just trying to stay alive, but had helicopters chasing me, tanks infront........ in short THIS GAME ROCKS.

the plane fly very smooth and the controls are easy, once you get the lighter craft they become very agile in the air, maybe the game could have run a small bit faster, but thats only a very small thing, it doesnt bother me at all, i think its fast enough, but some reviews ahve said it slow, i think its good though!!

I do hope it makes its way Westward very soon. This game is now on my top 5 most anticiapted titles

I picked it up on lauch day, and it kicks ass. Mi girlfriend said that she has never seen me so into a game before. To bigin with I was bit disapointed but that is becasue it takes quitye sometime to master the flying techinque.

But all in all ita very good game and I am happy I bought it. But then again I never rent games but always buy them, becasue i always forgett to return them ontime !

its set in the future, but its not that far, 2050 , the world hasnt changed much ( i mean its not a after apocalipse futre)

your are part of the upl, basically you are like a part of the world defence, you formed after the un fell apart or something, you have to stop rebels etc, like most game, apart from there is nt just one bad force, first so many mission your sopping, one man and his army, then you go some where else columbia i think ( thats where i am) and you are trying to stop there army as there drug smugglers, and have got a new way of shipping it etc...dont know to much of the storyline yet, but there is one as something starting to happen, every so often you get a cut scene of you and some other pilots etc talking and stuff

too right, ok its no MGS2 but will take some beating for gameplay, have been looking about for US release dates but apparently it was only ever planned to be released in Europe? How dumb is that!
The OPS2 mag is right, this will most likely get over looked by many seeing it as a futurisitc flightsim, but its just so much more than that.
As you get into the game its a case of flying, dogfighting, dam busting!, escorting, driving, rescuing, escaping, and most of them in one mission......and then they throw in a time limit   as if it wasn\'t bad enough already.

If it doesn\'t get a US release it\'ll be a crime, after 3 or 4 very late nights I can honestly say this is the best game I\'ve bought for a long time.

Im afraid not mate.... to be honest Sony seem to be cutting jobs and streamlining there business more than making new jobs.... pretty much like most businesses these days I guess
