Just completed James Bond 007 in: Agent Under Fire and after ages of hard work getting to the end...what do I get? the old "last second escape from the building just before it explodes cliche"
it\'s on for about 20 seconds and thats it!
It\'s a superb game don\'t get me wrong, cause I loved every minute of it, but I thought the ending was too short (I won\'t tell anybody what happens) and after spending ages getting there I felt like it was a waste of time really...
So how bout this topic? "anybody spent ages on a game, only to see some short-ass ending?"
It happened with Blade on the PSone...
I\'m not complaining on this topic, I just wanna see if anybody can tell me if they\'ve seen the same thing on other games?
I\'m just interested I guess...

I thought Return to Castle Wolfenstein had a horrible ending. I also thought *shrug* Mario Kart 64 had one of the WORST endings, ever.

Great idea for a topic, nice one! :)
My brother completed a game called Twin Turbo V8 on the Amstrad CPC 464 and all it said was "Congratulations" in a plain, horrid looking text.
Although a more modern example of bad endings would be Silent Hill 1 bad ending where you just see the bloke dead in his car although that was probably meant to be, bad example, erm Midnight Club Street Racing ending was fairly turd too. :)

Thanx 4 the compliment Rich...I guess it\'s cause I\'m really infuriated with James Bond on the PS2 and something had to be said...
Is it me or when most game companies have finished a huge game they think "f**k it, we can\'t be bothered spending ages doing some spectacular ending"
Good point on Silent Hill 1 Rich, even though it was to meant to keep u in suspense for the sequel...although I thought it was like those cheesy pathetic endings on those crap teen horror movies...
Grand Theft Auto 3 was kind of disapointing too at the end, it was goo don\'t get me wrong but (SPOILER!) the hero just walks off with his girlfriend Maria...thats it whilst some news reporter tells us about everything that has gone wrong...
anyway more games please!

Agent Under Fire had the worst ending Ive ever seen in my enitre gaming career. Its seriously pathetic... After the last mission I expected another, I thought It was a glitch in the game or something until I found out it was the end. WTF? man that takes so much from the game, It would of gotten a 8/10 but now I give it a 5. Thumbs down on this one, its a rent.
Although they did have hot ass chicks. ;)

James Bond still gets a high score from me but the ending was so S**t it\'s unbelievable...why did they have him jump from a building at the last second before it blew up? it\'s been done like a million times before!
I know you have to get all the gold and platinum rewards to finish it properly but still EA should have done better at the end!
Lazy S-O-B\'s, I\'ve swapped it today anyway...

thats only one of he endings though, i always just thought that it that he thought it was just a dream, then he wakes up!!!! cos that is what happens at the beginning with the same cv footage(maybe i could be wrong on what i think, as its been ages since i played it, and the more i think about it, the more i think you are right)

die hard one, you just see your man walking out of the tower, no explosion, about 10 sec long if tht
die harder. cant remerber properly, but think its just a plane landing, not exploding,as youve saved them
die hard with a vengace. boat blows up

I agree.... RTCW had a crappy Final Boss and ending...
Soul Reaver 1 also had a rappy ending (never played 2nd)
Worst Ending ever ??? TWISTED METAL BLACK PaL version.... Here you KNOW it will be great FMV videos etc..... since u already heard about this on most of the reviews....... then u get the most crappy fmv ending ever.... Why ? Because it was ****..... yup :/

FifaSeriesFan: Yeah the GTA 3 ending was turd.
Kopking: True Silent Hill 1 did have multiple endings but with most gamers they won\'t play the game again for another ending meaning they will be left feeling that the ending sucked, although that was the intend of the game designers.
Agnino: Yeah im not touching Twisted Metal Black PAL version with a long pole.

Silent Hill 1 has many endings. Basing it on one ending and saying it has crappy ending period is kinda...harsh. Now, IMO the others are not the greatest either, but it certainly is more then the guy dead in his car.
As for what is one of the worst endings, Phantasmagoria for the PC. First off, it isn\'t that great of a game in the first place (FMV game. So...) but the ending, after you defeat THE monster, you just walk out of the house. Thats it? All that work (as easy as it was) just for her to walk out? Dumb.

I just remembered another game...well I mentioned it b4 but anyway...
who here has played the game "Blade" on the PSone?
I spent AGES! on that game, and I mean AGES!
and what do I get?
Blade walks past and sees this vampire chewing on this dead guy, the vamp turns round and says "Daywalker!"
Then Blade cheesily says "My name is...BLADE!"
How cheesy and pathetic is that?
I just reset during the credits at the end, and then took my disk out and threw it against the wall in anger!
Great game, **** ending! Goddamn piece of crap ending...

Me, I enjoyed every minute of the MGS2 ending. Ace Combat 4 is the latest ending I\'ve seen, it sucked for a game that is so beautiful.
