Or vice versa? Which would you rather have?

Rather have the speedy net connection.  You can upgrade your PC any time, but if your computer is used to surf the net and whatnot 90% of the time like mine is, then that\'s what you want.  If I had a P2 400 mhz PC with my DSL connection, I\'d still be happy.  I\'d want to upgrade, but it would not be an absolute necessity.  DSL, however, would be. :)

Powerfull computers need a fast connection, otherwise it is a waste of good hardware and not to mention money.

Fast connection definetly. I have cable, and its good, much better than 56gay, but there are times when I want to go down to Time Warner and punch someone in the face. Well, maybe not that bad. But as I always say, you can never have a too fast connection.
Ok maybe I\'ve never really said that before but, whatever, it works.
