Has anyone been going through this?  Every day I have to delete like eight messages from different people advertising their dirty, dirty porno sites.

I get home and click through my messages and it\'s like:

Hello, this is Monica.  Wanna chat?
Hello, this is Wendy.  Wanna chat?
Hello, this is Emma.  
This is Julie.  
This is Ron...  

It got so annoying that I wrote back to sass one of them and it turned out to be an automated response.  It\'s not even a person behind this crap.

So anyway, my real question is does anyone know how to block this stuff?

I dumped it.  Totally annoying.  I don\'t get any of that on Net Messenger.

Dump ICQ. It\'s for horn dogs with lots of money.

I find that they only leave you those messages if you are in N/A mode, if you go invisible of offline you shouldn\'t get them it works for me.

ICQ turned into trash a LONG time ago.. But I still go on once in a while just when I\'m bored and get flooded with those messages! :mad:

Eik, go into options and choose to ONLY recieve messages from people on yer list

if a friend wants to send you a message , most likely he\'ll request yer authorization 1st anyways

i havent gotten a spam message in 6 months

also turn off web messaging

yeah Eik, that will gaurantee you dont get a spam icq message.  noone is gonna go thru the trouble or requesting someones authorization just to spam them.

I use Yahoo Mizessenger.  I don\'t touch anything with MSN on it.

ICQ is all porn stuff.  "Hi I\'m bootybabe22" ; just URLs over and over again.
