"Yesterday I attended a chat with Microsoft\'s Seamus Blackley one of the top people on Microsoft\'s XBox team. Here are some of the questions I had that were answered :
Q: When will XBox officially go online
A: Online will be rolling out this year, and you\'ll be hearing more about the specifics starting this summer
Q: What do you think about people playing Halo online now via Gamespy?
A:I am stoked about the GameSpy portal-- it\'s really exiting for us on the Xbox team to see poeple are so into Halo that they will engineer their own "online service--" and great validation of our belief that online functionality has to be enabled from the start!
Q:When will XBox be available in Japan and how about Squaresoft?
A:Japanese launch is February 22, 2//22/02. I was just in Japan, in fact I have been there 31 times since we started Xbox in 2000, and I\'d have to say that Japanese developers and consumers are even more excited about Xbox that people here in the US... Final Fantasy-- gee I love that game... no comment though
Q: Any idea if Metal Gear Solid II will be released for Xbox

A custom version of mgs2? Hmmmmm............thoughts.

yeah it will be a version of MGS2 that will work on the X box ;)
sorry but Hideo said that he has "lost" intrest in Snake and has passed the torch onto someone else.
so i think it will be almost identical to the PS2 verison.
maybe with the added Europen Extreme settings and PAL extras for starters but nothing more.

That would be sweet if you could play with snake the whole game or have an option too......

Well, whatever changes do occur, let\'s all hope that the majority of them will go towards improving the storyline in the game. Because....MY GOD IS IT EVER HORRIBLE!!
er....But actually, I don\'t have an xbox anyways so it won\'t effect me anyhow. :nerd: But, the less people who have to sift through that mess of a plot, the better. :p

I wonder what enchanements there going to add the xbox version. I\'ll pick it even though i have the ps2 version. :thepimp: I liked the story in mgs2.:nerd:

Great update! Ah man I can\'t wait till more news leak out. I hope there is more to the Xbox MGS2 version. Like more weapons or different levels. I know one thing, there is sometiing common to the PS2 ports to the Xbox and it\'s going to look much better. ;)

I thought we established the Xbox would get their own version of MGS2 eventually? Okay, well maybe some people didn\'t accept it, but most of us had accepted that along time ago. The true question is, when is Konami going to confirm it - which is what REALLY matters, when is it going to come out and what is going to be so special about it? Please, don\'t tell me....New graphical effects?

For now I am tired of metal-gear-solid. After completing the game and having the lame ending there is really no need for reply. I mean Unless they do something big that makes it much different from the ps2 version. Like making it mulit-player and tweaking the story that would be cool. Becaue if it\'s just mgs2 with blazing graphics then konami sucks and should not even make it on xbox.

Don\'t wet yourself over some thread on a message board. That \'quote\' could be a year old for all we know. The time to get excited, if ever, is when you actually hear word from Konami. AND since they axed MGSX from their list of coming titles, don\'t hold your breath.

I too could care less about this game coming to xbox--I\'m looking forward to originals. Go play it on the PS2.

:rolleyes: New information? What new information? I\'ve known this **** since I\'ve first heard about MGSX. Now, I won\'t care unless it comes from the horses mouth (that being Konami).
Of coarse, whenever it is coming, unless they change the game drastically, I, like many others here on the forum, could care less.

When and IF it comes out, I hope that it has better stuff on it... Like added gameplay and story and stuff... THEN I will own an Xbox and get it...

Yeah I hope it\'s not a disappointment and if it is shame on Konami.
