I know some people are upset that the Resident Evil series went to the GC, and is supposely "exclusive" to Nintendo. Well, cheer up. It isn\'t! Infact, there is already a new Resident Evil game about to be released in Japan..
Curious on what?
Resident Evil : Code Veronica: Survivor 2!.. Yes, you read that right. Resident Evil: Survivor, the terrible shooter that did not need a sequel got a sequel. The game loosely follows the Resident Evil: Code Veronica storyline , but also features characters from RE2 & RE3, such as Lickers (RE2) and Nemesis (RE3). The game still looks crap, from the screens in EGM...
No news on a US release date.

Looks like Capcom is doing to Resident Evil what they did to Street Fighter, number and title wise. muahhaha

That game was supposed to be released months ago. I thought they just canceled it because it sucked so bad. :)

LoL, isn\'t that what I\'ve been saying all along? I knew it was going to happen just after RE1: Directors Cut was released. Can\'t wait for RE:1 Directors Cut DX3 Turbo ~Champion Edition~.

You should be able to complete either of those games in 5 days.

Aren\'t the Survivor games the light gun games?
But yeah, I noticed that before. Just goes to show how loose "exclusivity" is among third parties, and rightfully so.
"Sure Yamauchi, but this is Resident Evul so it isn\'t part of the agreement."

Resident Evil 4, PS2 Spring 2003
Latest Headlines
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Somethin\' came a knockin\' today. I open up my mailbox and get two strange emails. One claims to be an inside source for Capcom, and the other featured two excerpts from two different Capcom press-releases. One stated that the contract between Nintendo and Capcom is based on 5 Resident Evil software releases exclusively for the GameCube. The second excerpt highlighted Capcom\'s announcement last week that they will be releasing:
Resident Evil -GameCube remake-
Resident Evil 2 -Dreamcast port-
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis -Dreamcast port-
Resident Evil Code: Veronica -Playstation 2 port-
Resident Evil: Zero -Original GameCube software-
Capcom has said that they will release all five games this year for the GameCube, in the US. At the end of the second email, in very fine print I managed to read the following little tidbit: "The \'Evil\' returns Spring 2003 for the Sony Playstation 2." Surely enough, the reliability of these sources is questionable, but everything falls well into place. Remember, Capcom never said anything about a 4th RE title for the GameCube. And since the RE4 PS2 game engine already exists (Devil May Cry was originally built as Resident Evil 4) it makes all the more sense that Resident Evil 4 is in fact PS2 bound. Depending on how well the RE games will do on the GC this whole year, it is very possible that Capcom will release RE4 on both the PS2 and GameCube. Stay tuned for some big announcements later this Fall.

your so crazy resident evil is the best series with exception of gun survivor i loved them all

I\'m a huge fan of Resident Evil, but I wouldn\'t call it the best series I have played. Especially the later games (sure, RE:CV had the great graphics and all, but the same ole gameplay and the backtracking, didn\'t do it for me [still a great game, just not as great as the previous games]).

That URL proved nothing, so what he got a strange e-mail that was suppose to be from Capcom. It is about as useful as the one URL you posted about someone saying DMC2 was a PS2 exclusive - without any real evidence, other than the fact the journalist (term used loosely) thought it would be.
God bless, \'net journalism.
