Is there a way to disable the parental control all together? I get tired of having to set it everytime a go to watch a movie. Is there a way to set it one time and never have to worry with it again? Thanks

You have to enter a certain code, but I can\'t remember what it is. It is in your Playsation 2 manual though, so dig that out and look for it. :)

Just ask your parents for it!!! Tho they\'ll probably say \'No\'

maybe if he\'s a good little boy and does everything he\'s told.......his parents might let him have the parental control off for a few hours. unlikely since one of his chores is changing grandfather\'s diaper. but if he realy wants it, it\'s worth a shot

"****" is the code to delete any current password.
Once you get in press "Select" and go to "Settings" go to "Parental Control" and turn the Level to "Off"
I believe that is it. But I am posting this from memory so this may not be completely accurate. But it should be close.
please do not post the parental code for the PS2, its hidden in the manual for a reason, thank you

And then go buy a real DVD player.

Oh sorry.

im sure i done that, and it still asks me, i just press x a few times and the film starts....bit pointless having a age lock if its so easy to unlock, i mean i just press x a few times, but aint the password like 0000 or something

You have to be a parent.

RTFM
Oh damn I was laughing so hard  You could work in my office.

Just put " 0000 " and when you get to the movie open up the user menu and set the parental control to "No".
*yawns*

Actually, I think I know what this guy is talking it. My PS2 does it all the time. Whenever you go to watch a movie, it\'ll come up with a message that says "Parental Control Level Exceeded. Do you want to temporarily set a new level?" And then you have to hit \'Yes\' and then type some random numbers in before it\'ll let you watch the movie. It does that every time I go to watch a DVD on my PS2, but since I hardly ever use my PS2 for DVDs, I\'ve never bothered trying fix it.
