Pointless. All this shows is MS is not exercising any quality control what so ever. Not to mention, a lot of those games may never see the day of light - or are so early in development we have no clue what so ever about them.

I know I shouldn\'t judge a book by its cover, but. . .

Bistro Cupid - a game that you cook for love?
Brain Box - is this the rubix cube?
Duality - as opposed to singularity
Divine Divinity - adj. and noun of the same thing!
Loons Fight for Fame - oh goodie!
Loose Cannon - yet another loco
Orchid - what, plant an Orchid and watch it grow?
Outlaw Golf - golf, is golf, is golf.
Rolling - down a hill
Stung - past tense, game sounds like it\'s over already
Wiggles - I don\'t want to know
V.I.P. - how can a terrible show make a good game?

Let me make this simple. When you have more quality, you have less quanity. If you have more quanity than someone can friggin\' imagine, you have a low amount of quality for the most part. Why? Because, if MS was exercising quality control, more than half those games wouldn\'t get past the intial development phase.

I am not trying to come off rude. I have always believed quality over quanity and for one reason. I believe if companies forget all about quality and instead focus on quanity, we could very well see the market being killed by crap games, like in the early days of gaming. With three equally huge companies, this chance is higher than ever. All three need to focus on quality....NOT quanity, in my humble opinion.

By the way - Nintendo has the right idea, with quality over quanity. They just lack the insight, or focus it takes to actually get those quality games out in a timely fashion, sadly.

Ok ok Living-In-Clip I was j/k.  I see your point. But I could pick just 5 games out of that list and it will be the best of its kind on any system to date.   I\'m not trying to be rude.  =)

no my point is that your a moron...you claim you can pick any five games from that mediocre list of X-Box games (most of those you wouldnt have heard of, nor would anyone in a million years play) and claim they will be the best in the genre on any console!!  do you not realize how stupid what you just said is and how that is not inteligent discussion about X-Box but mindless fanboyism??

you havent been trying to make a point dammit!  your a stupid fanboy with no idea what is going on in the console industry.  i have a hard time believe a 30+ year old man can be this stupid and this immature, and this lame... pathetic

first of all, when you ask a question you finish it with a question mark, not an exclamation point.  Second of all, you have been dishing out my medicine, but to yourself, you dont realise how many members im talking to via. instant messenger are laughing at your stupidity, do you??

sad little man..

Oh no!  There has been an overspill!  Grab the plunger!  Take out the mop!  And IronFist, stop flushing!  It\'s just making things worse!

Guys, you can mess up your personal restrooms all you want, but try to keep the public bathrooms sanitary.  Bossieman was right.  This forum is starting to look a lot like TXB.

*grOan*

And Ryu, where was the other thread moved to?  I tried to access it, but it says I don\'t have permission to access that page.

first of all...NONE OF THOSE ARE THE TOP OF THEIR GENRE

Halo: is great, and yes, it could probably the best console FPS out right now, but it is not the best FPS period.

Brute Force:  Top of its genre??

Dead or Alive:  is a horrible fighting series and only the most biased sites and people would consider it to be better than the likes of Tekken, Soul Calibur, Virtua Fighter, the list goes on

Gunvalkirie:  Top of its genre??

Rallisport Challenge:  WTF?  top of its genre??

ok, you\'ve listed games that are not out, and called them the best in the genre, and it is clear that they are NOT the best in their genre and/or WILL NOT be the best in their genre on any console

second of all...you said
Quote
But I could pick just 5 games out of that list and it will be the best of its kind on any system to date. I\'m not trying to be rude. =)

this implies that you could pick 5 games randomly and automatically it would be the top of its genre.  ok??  this you cannot do, and even when you picked your personal five picks, you failed to do so.. whther its your opinion or not..

Immature? I don\'t insualt others now thats immature!

i apologize, i shouldnt have used the word immature, as far as i know you are the most mature person on earth...but the other two points hold true..

pfft top of the genre is nothing more but opinion on an individual basis it can change from person to person

but usually it defines what the mass mojority thinks and how well the game sales becuase of what they think you are the one playing the games

you ask someone what they think the best ff is and they might tell you 4 - 6- 7- 9 - 10

it changes from person to person there is no definite one but only ones that more people like then others

and thats about it

but PStwo you shouldnt say anything about defining best of the genre because you are the one that brought it up in the first place by stating the games you pick would be best of the genre

and sad to say i agree with halo on most points its a great game but the multi-player could use some help

i wont go on to say anything about the other games as it doesnt matter but the mass apeal would say they arent the best of their genre - but like i said it doesnt matter what they think

Well nintendo has been trying quality over quanity and they found themselves losing out to sony and now falling behind sony and microsoft.

You have to have quanity in the video game industry.

Top of the genre: The game in each genre that you would consider to be the very best.  Not just you, but it has to be recognized by the community as the very best. Community = Critics, and general fans.

Seeing as how this is an extremely ambiguous topic it is hard for me to criticise what pstwo has said, but it is much more *cant think of the word* ambitious for pstwo to claim that he can sum up the peak of every genre on the XBox and then provide examples that are just ludicrous

i could give examples as say, Gran Turismo and Zelda or Final Fantasy (RPG in particular is hard to define what the peak is)...but that too would be a hard task, but i guarantee you, my choices would be much more suitable than pstwo\'s rediculous ones.

Quote
I think Tekken sucks, and Virtua Fighter is too deep. Soul Calibur is just about right...Dead or Alive 3 is pretty good...Am I biased now just because the other 3 don\'t suit my individual taste as well as Dead or Alive 3 does??

yes  :p  but would you consider it the best fighter ever?  i certainly wouldnt give it **** over Street Fighter 2 any day

plus my opinion is that its no where near as good as the other games i listed, but what i said was wrong and not very wellthought out, but i still maintain the fact that it is not the top of its genre.  Critic support, as well as fan support will suggest otherwise, but this isnt the point we are arguing.

Sheesh..

You see, when games are developed, it needs to be done in a dim, sterile germ-free (so to not let any bugs get in the games) environment, so the first time a game ever sees light, is when it is finally released, and it gets to see the "day of light", you see?

Weird thing really with all those projects, which reminds me...
