Government is probally going to censor all games and all bad violent and whatever they think is bad for you stuff and you wont be able to do nothing about it. They already censored television and many magazines, stores and even many websites like this one.

They tried it in 94... didn\'t work. All we got out of it was a crappy rating system. Lawsuits against gamemakers have been failing left and right because there\'s no evidence to relate videogames to violent/deviant behavior. That called precidence, and it\'s going to keep the courts from censoring the videogame industry. All they can really do now is refine and enforce the rating system. Being safely over the age of 18, I can honestly say.. I don\'t give a f*ck if they do. If a parent deems a videogame is apropriate, let them buy it for their child. If not, well then I guess the child must suffer or do what everyone did as kids.. find OTHER means to get what you want... and then hide it from your parents.
Christ, you think MY dad let me buy a copy of Metal & Lace or Leisure Suit Larry??? I still got them though. :D

Just hearing somebody even bring up the topic of videogame censorship makes me wonder what region of the planet they come from, but thank our lucky stars for all who live in free nations. Below, I have put a few quotes that might spark your interests, check out the address below for more details. Understanding what you’re talking about when you’re bringing up censorship is a must…:vader:
“The controversy existed due to false stereotypes of the industry and outright ignorance, and therefore, should not have existed in the first place.”
“The issue of violence is as much an expression of ignorance and stereotypes as any of the arguments that detractors may have used against any new media in the past.”

I agree with you all the way man. Sometimes you get caught in a conversation with somebody that uses the "f" word a few too many times. It\'s hard to picture them as being educated, or having any respect for those around them. I know that not everyone uses profanity as an attack on those around, for some it\'s every-day talk. But I will say, I enjoy conversations with people who use less swearing than those that use foul language all the time.:D

Spent a year in D.E.P. And made my way to Great Lakes. Got my butt kicked out for some knee problems later though. The navy was pretty cool. Can\'t say I made it to sailor status, but I have yet to blush from somebody\'s excessive use of profanity. Besides, all the schooling in the world doesn\'t make you smart, but it can teach you how to spend a lot of money on alcohol and parties.:D
