it\'s so dead in here i thought some inane thread was inorder.
i\'m trying to get a little bigger for this summer, I would love to put on another inch on my arm and have 18"guns, but that just doesn\'t seem possible for the time I have, but with the gains i\'ve been having i might make it to 17 1/2" by June. I\'d also like to drop about 3% body fat, and get to around 6%. anyone else working out so that they don\'t get laughed at when they hit the beach?
-
not me, i could care less
im far from fat, but i kinda like my "buddha belly" or would be a tradgedy to lose it
exercising vs. playing video games
guess who wins?
-
Well dudes, (and ladies) I am in shape beyond all shape. and shape isn\'t how big your muscles are. that is only part of it. there is also endurance. That and guns aren\'t anything without power behind them. lol

After I quit my construction job and am now back at college, I go 1.5-2 miles on the treadmill, bench, and do sit-ups. I\'m trying to keep my little four pack and wanna bench more than my own weight.
If you guys are serious about getting in shape and need a summer job consider construction; you get paid (at least $10/hr) to work out. :)
-
Yep...I lost 20 pounds of muscle and I gotta get it back...and then some. You know what I mean? Plus a tan is in order, too...sheesh.
-
So jinxx do you run???
I\'m just wondering since I do cross country

I\'ll be taking classes all summer, no fun-in-the-sun for me.
-
Nope, I\'m going on vacation! No time to work out.. :)
-
I\'m just trying to get myself into somesorta shape now that army\'s over. 4 months of sitting in front of monitors and nothing much else didn\'t do good for me. Now I\'m swimming about 5km / week, lifting weights and doing whatever muscle excersices I can at home and go to aikido classes 3 times a week. I feel much better and more energetic now.
... & starting to look nice again :D
*poses in front of a mirror*
*mirror shatters into millions of tiny pieces for no apparent reason*

I\'m gonna try my best to, but it probably wont happen!! Need to look my best for when i\'m away with the lads!! All those competitions to be won - if you know what i mean!!
-
Im lifting weights and swimming (2km each time) 3 days a week, and training JKD 2 days a week. Now I consider to take some solarium, since I have not seen the sun since September or something :(
-
I perform no real form of work out, just push-ups\' and sit-ups\' every other day. I spend too much time playing games and eating. I guess if you consider sex a work out, then I get about five or ten minuets of that in every couple of days.
-
yeah, in the bathroom with the faucet running
:)
-
Ssshhhhhhhhhh! don\'t let everybody know!
NOT!
-
well i wont do it, but im alredy quite fit, im joining another football team soon, i run and skate board , also i got a gf and that helps a lot, the say sex burn the most calories, even though i dont count them or anything like that, i think i look ok, dont really need to shape up, i dont really care either
-
Yeah, I plan on getting into the shape of a lump on the couch this summer. Does that count?
-
so are there any other serious body builders in these forums?
-
i run sometimes but only cause my woman wants me to remain the lean, mean sex machine that i am.
i hate it though.

I dedicated myself to sports I play. About 1.5 years ago I signed up to my local gym, $349 bucks per year. Includes 10 VIP passes for anyone I wanna take for a trial. As a manner in fact, being a veteran of the center, I now have a summer job there now.
I cross train. Which means, unlike others, I concentrate on other areas besides my "guns" and my "six pack." I do hella time on the cross trainer, I do a ton of leg work, as well as lat pull downs, tricept extensions, lat-row, etc etc.
I also own a Torso Track, cause I think those ab machines are so stupid. They never do a sufficent job. I do about 500-800 reps every other day before I start my day.
AND unlike others, I usually keep a low profile of my body. It\'s extremly evident to my friends and others I work out, but I ain\'t here to show off, cause it\'s pathetic and I suck at showin off.
Although I do hear mm likes showing off cyclops every once in a while. Whatever he tells you about me, it\'s all a lie. :D
-
i\'m not one of those people that only train one body part, since i got certified by ACE, i\'ve been doing a basic push pull routine, example one day will be bench(decline, flat, and incline, to work out different angles of the muscle), shoulder press, tri dips, and inverted pushups. next day do the pull routine, with preacher curl, db curl, flys, shrugs, and bent over rows.
i don\'t work out my legs for mass much anymore, but the last time I worked them out heavy, i was leg pressing over 1200lbs. Now i work my legs out for deffinition, because if i get much bigger i\'d look like a freak.
I might start a HIT routine, it is supposed to be very beneficial, and time conservative.

-
Its nice to see someone else out there that actually does some sports, cross country season is long since over but I\'m starting back up for next season, soon I\'ll be getting 30 miles a week, and hopefully by the end of the summer I\'ll be getting in 50 miles a week
-
I can say I\'m in pretty good shape and i don\'t work out. I guess it\'s inherited or something:cool:
